Do you mean on the beach where you get islanders, amiibo or on other people's islands?

There is an amiibo function to get people homes, but you have to have done a number of places first (I think it's 10).

You have to give your villagers souvenir chocolates to get them to come to paradise, no idea if it works on other people's villagers though!

That's primarily what the DLC is. Characters who aren't your residents will turn up and you make homes for them.

As Tsunade says getting your villagers to turn up is actually more involved!

Has anyone else used the amiibo function in the cafe to being back NPCs that aren't in the game anymore? So far I've called up Dr Shrunk and Gracie. I'm actually surprised how much dialogue they've been given to say.

My Misses invited Phylis and Phylis, Pele and Pete all showed up, it was really awesome, she's going to try and invite other old characters now.

I've been getting quite into this in the last few days. The update was a much needed shot in the arm as I think I've realised that I really need something to be building towards. Once my island was roughly what I wanted and the drip feed of new items and recipes was too slow to put finishing touches on, I didn't really get into the daily grind of playing to do the same tasks over and over again. But now there's more things to work towards achieving I can get more motivated about the other goals I had.

I've also decided to remodel a large portion of the Tal Tal Heights part of my recreation of Koholint because, whilst it interferes with the faithfulness of the project, it just seems like a waste of space and I've got other things I want to do. I'm currently thinking of putting a warp pipe somewhere near my house, and connecting it to an otherwise isolated part of the north west corner of my island (which is currently literally just sand flooring and would be where Dungeon 8 would be on Koholint) and making it into a mini Japanese town with a ramen bar and stuff.

Do you need to buy stuff daily from the shops on Harv’s island to get new stock in? I’ve been doing it out of habit with Redd just to get a new piece each day, even if it’s fake as hopefully it’ll speed up the process of finishing the museum, but Kick’s hasn’t had new stock all week, nor has Saharah or Leif. Or are most of the shops weekly refreshes?

I think most shops are weekly, but buying fakes from Redd does make him put a new one up to replace the one bought. I think I have all of the shops on there now, I just got Katrina.

I love that Tortimer is still doing silly stuff like he used to in Wild World. Cornimer gave me 6 acorns yesterday

Seems to give random numbers for me? I’ve gotten anywhere between 8 and 3! I suspected the shops might be weekly.

Well I just saw two characters glitch into the same seat. Bit weird to talk to one character a a different name comes up

Started playing this again a few days ago, went and found Brewster today so will get the cafe again in a few days which I'm happy about.

I forgot how relaxing this game was.

My misses has done so much on Happy Home its unreal, I think shes basically seen all the content there is now so sort of completed it but can just keep messing around on it if that makes sense, me well I have done a bit but I flit from game to game far far more than her.

I think I just completed the main story part of the DLC by accident I didn't realise I'd hit 30 vacation homes already!

so those of you with the dlc, after making the hospital did you find joan in there same day?
