This is my favourite bit of the official press release:

Watch the launch trailer of Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories at the Nintendo Channel now and to unravel more about the mystery, remember to keep checking [markets to insert link] for further information!

The girl in the English trailer sounds eerily like Joanna from Perfect Dark.

Yeah, why try and explain what a game is when you can hope that they'll understand what it's about without a little help.

It's not for us, Lifeo. You need to understand that some other people bar us obsessives do like to dip their toes into gaming's murky waters on occasion.

They're welcome to change the game's name to "It's like a Mystery Novel!" if it ends up shipping a few more copies. A slightly spoiled boxart is an easy price to pay if it prevents the game from bombing.

Ashley had a great VA in the trailer. It would be a shame if the full game wasn't using voices after that.

I hope it's just the odd line to add flavour, or that the cutscenes are voiced. That'd be great. Lux-Pain certainly benefitted from the occasional voiced line.

That doesn't mean we have to like it.

Not saying that, but we have to understand that we're not the only people who play games any more.

Not sure anyone really likes being patronised like that though...I think there might have been a better way to go about it.

Oxx made a similar comment in the Little King's Story thread, in reference to the NGamer "sticker" that is printed on the boxart. Nothing Extralife or Zerudaaaaa! said specifically pointed out the text as being the problem, mainly that the sticker/writing itself spoils the boxart. It would look better without the sticker, regardless of if that sticker says "It's a Mystery Novel in a Game, innit" or "Edge 10/10". Some people get horribly outraged at anything extra being printed on boxart, but it didn't seem like an attack on "those who are not we who now play games" to me.

That sticker would make me pick the game up off the shelf had I not heard of it. It sells the game to people who would be interested in it, that's far better marketing than any number - even the EDGE 7 - could ever hope to achieve.
