Any1 ever had a bloated belly for weeks (now months)?

Saw the gastroenterologist and he took some bloods and stools to check for imflammation and something else that I can't remember. He also said he sounds like IBS.
He didn't give me a follow up appointment though just said the results and further advice will be sent to my GP surgery.

I wonder what imflammation means? Asked him and he said if it came back as inflammation then further investigation would be required.
