The "morose walking simulator" genre like dear Esther, gone home, Tacoma etc could be a difficult one, not sure how you translate walking around a static environment reading sad notes into a kart racer.

Hey, I've already done a GR Hitman contract. Don't get me started on a GR karting game, too. I'd be lost in that planning for weeks.

I would eat up a Star Wars kart racer. I don't think there's been anything in that vein since the days of Super Bombad Racing and Pod Racer 64.

There's so much more material to work with now, so many more weapons, characters, worlds, graphical styles, enough to fill several kart or other racers.

To be fair, who wants a port of a more than 20 year old game when technology advancements could make it the absolute super high-speed thrill it was always shown as while being absolutely stunning to look at.

Even though I did buy that port on the Switch.

3D was the worst thing to happen to kart racing; gimme muh Mode 7 back :cry:

All these retro games but no retro fx. Mode 7? Parallax? Did these devs even play 16bit games???

Hokuto no Kart. I’d bloody love that, SD versions of Kenshiro, Rei, Toki, Jagi, Raoh, Mamiya etc racing through the post apocalypse. Right up my street

Has to be Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on the N64. Goemon himself already appeared in Konami Crazy Racers (which I never played) on the GBA but a whole Goemon-themed Kart game would be easy. Half the initial roster is just your playable characters and the power-ups are obvious (from anyone who's played the game).

I see the forum has now been turned into a kart racer with that logo change.
