OK, there are 2 good racing games on the DS: Mario Kart and GRID. Everything else (Burnout, N4S, RR) is crap. Name me one more good racing game other than those two.

and 2 on the PSP (Both WipEout games)

OK, Ill agree with you here: Racing is pretty much the PSPs best Genre: RR, FlatOut, WipEout, TDU and Outrun 2006 are all great games. Burnout sucked though and so did Sega Rally.

Monkey ball is much better once you get the hang of the controls and again much better than the PSP and DS iterations.

The DS iteration is horrible with the touchscreen and lets not even bother mentioning SMB Adventure on the PSP.....

I hope someone decides to convert Mercury over. That would be a perfect fit.

3/4 isnt bad. ;)

Thats the Prequel to GRID so doesnt count, as they only made a few improvements (RD:C&R was pretty damn good already)

Well, Wipeout is a prequel to Wipeout 2 isn't it?

Wipeout was pretty damn good already.

The iPhone / ipod Touch could do with a decent Point n Click adventure. A release of Monkey Island would go down a treat. :)

It's a poor man's Audiosurf. So no, not really.

Yeah. Sadly, it's not as good as I thought it would be. No sense of "playing the song", really, and it's very repetitive.

In general, the genre could certainly make the leap, but MI might have some resolution issues. Not familiar enough with the hardware to say for sure. Some of the objects you have to click on are really quite small and clustered close together. I don't know if you could really use a finger.

Was replaying Monkey Island 2 on the EEE the other day, and getting stuff like the ASH-2-LIFE in the Voodoo Lady's shack seems like it would be nearly impossible without the precision of a stylus. Hell, it's difficult enough with a touchpad. Thank god for USB mice :)

Though I'm surprised if no-one has ported ScummVM to iPhone already.

Spore is actually quite good on the ipod. Plays not unlike flow on psn: titly, eaty, avoidy nasties style gameplay. Its of course abit limited, in that it appears to stay in the primordial stages and progress no further into the more advanced stuff of the pc version. It is however called spore origins so that's probably fair enough. Nice controls, well calibrated and looks very nice for a ipod game too. Not bad at all.

I downloaded a footy game lastnight, "Real Soccer 08" I think it's called. £5.99 and it's really good. Graphics are the best I've yet seen on the Ipod Touch and the sound is also good. Most importanlty it plays really well like a slightly simplified Pro Evo. It has an on-screen d-pad which works well and two buttons and you can use gestures for fancier moves (eg: draw a circle to do a spin etc..)

Well worth the money and it has WiFi play coming soon in the next update, not sure if it allows online play or just local.
