It seems to be part of the build itself. I didn't hang around long enough to ask. The place was rammed.

I've updated my Mac to the new macOS (Sierra) operating system. All went smoothly, a few nice updates, Siri is fun, and... WTF?!?!? I can no longer run SidPlay (the cool app that plays my C64 SID music files) ...

...

...   .

This is critical. I have to get this resolved.

[Goes to see if SidPlay has been updated]

EDIT: Crisis averted. Updated version available (click here, Mac SID fans). Twenty years of SidPlay :toot: . And all is right in the world :toot: .

Just saw this on Twitter, one of the editors at The Verge had also been working for Apple since July and the Verge fired him when they found out  http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/23/13036 ... is-ziegler

Hey everyone — there have been questions about Chris Ziegler and his absence from The Verge in the past few weeks. I want to provide answers for those who have been worried about him.

First, Chris accepted a position at Apple. We wish him well.

Second, the circumstances of Chris' departure from The Verge raised ethical issues which are worth disclosing in the interests of transparency and respect for our audience. We're confident that there wasn't any material impact on our journalism from these issues, but they are still serious enough to merit disclosure.

Chris began working for Apple in July, but didn't tell anyone at The Verge that he'd taken a new job until we discovered and verified his dual-employment in early September. Chris continued actively working at The Verge in July, but was not in contact with us through most of August and into September. During that period, in the dark and concerned for Chris, we made every effort to contact him and to offer him help if needed. We ultimately terminated his employment at The Verge and Vox Media the same day we verified that he was employed at Apple.

I'm likely to be getting an iPad of some description this week as my tablet contract is up.

I'm currently stuck between an Air 2 or a Mini 4. I currently have a Nexus 7 which is about the size of the Mini 4 but I'm wondering wether I would get one with a bigger device but my worry is it will get annoying having a larger device.

The idea is this will be my sat on the sofa watching TV device that way my laptop can be in my office / games room for when I want to do games and shizzal.

What are peoples thoughts ?

I got an air 2 earlier in the year and I'm a little disappointed I didn't go for a pro, you'd be surprised how annoying having sound come out of only one side of the screen when it's in landscape is. Not worth the price difference just for that, mind. Oh, and styluses don't really work with it either, if it matters to you. Used some different screen tech. I've got a large phone so would have been pointless going for the mini, but the air 2 is a big enough size to feel like it's made for different uses than my phone.

Makes sense, I have a lg g4 with a large screen so the mini wouldn't be much of a size leap, I think I am going to go for the air as I don't need the pro and I think the mini although it will be OK is a bit small and the larger screen size will be good for websites, especially here as I will have to use a web browser.

Not sure what is wrong with my iPhone 6. It went from like 40% to 5% and so I decided to turn it off and on. But then it wouldn't turn on without being plugged in. Then it jumped from 1% too 36%...

On the air 2 this new update has definitely introduced an element of lag in the browser.

My air 2 seems ok for now, although for a few days I didn't think the lock screen would rotate but it's alright now.
