I'm happy with my 6S just now. Can't see me upgrading to any of the new ones this year, If I do decide to upgrade it'll most likely be a 7 Plus when they go down in price. Kinda regret not getting a 6S Plus in the first place since it was only £100 dearer.

That iPhone 8 is going to be a ridiculous price over here if last year's Brexit price jumps on the phones and Macs were anything to go by.

Someone at Apple has done a whoopsie. New design all but confirmed from the Homepod firmware and it looks like infrared face unlock might be replacing the function of Touch ID.

I honestly wouldn't want to be walking around with a phone worth £1000, especially with the amount of thefts and snatching taking place at the moment. And then I'd be worried about dropping it...

Looks like AppleTV 4K is imminent though, at long last.

Looking at the current price points the most expensive iPhone is the 256GB 7 Plus at £919 and I'd expect that to be what the 7S Plus will end up being. strawberry float knows what the pricing on the new one will be like. £1119 at the lowest? :dread:

Got myself a 256GB iPad Pro (10.5) on the way.

I've kind of had an off-and-on relationship with iPads in the past, but I've only ever owned 16GB models, so a lot of my reasons for letting them gather dust were due to me getting fed up juggling apps and content.

The high-refresh display is great, too. Had a play with one in Curry's earlier.

Does anyone have an IPhone SE?

My IPhone 6 has seen better days and I need to get a new phone. I only use the IPhone for listening to music, surfing the web and the CarPlay stuff (plus texting of course)

Is it a good phone? Will it be good enough for what I want to use it for?

It's a good iPhone but you'll likely struggle with going from a 6 to the smaller screen.

Apparently it's just an iPhone 6 in the same casing as a 5 and the battery life is meant to be better but yeah like massimo said, going to the 4 inch screen might take some getting used to.

I popped into town and had a look at an SE today, I like it, never been a fan of big phones so it looks perfect for me. Ordered a 128gb Space Grey model and got a new sim only deal in EE, £21 a month with unlimited calls/texts and 20gb data.

When using CarPlay, how much data would the maps use roughly?

Difficult to say, but I really think you'll be okay wth a 20gb allowance. I'm on 12gb monthly and use maps every day.

Doesn't seem like that much so 20GB is plenty http://www.connectedcarlife.com/feature ... e-maps-use

Apple conference tomorrow.

Liking what I'm hearing about the Iphone pro or whatever you wanna call it. Nice to see they going to go with a Quad HD screen and edge to edge display. I have a S8 plus for work and it's hard going back to iPhone screens after using them.

I'm not entirely sure on them removing Touch ID though. I hope the rumours on that aren't true.

Expecting as usual some insane pricing especially as Samsung priced the Note 8 at £850. I'm expecting the higher end iPhone to start at £900 atleast.

Not arsed about the new phones (I've got a 7 Plus now) but the conference being tomorrow means the iOS 11 and High Sierra GMs should be out soon :datass:

From what I've read it's going to be iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and Iphone X (or whatever fancy name they choose). I want the iphone x but it'll be expensive as strawberry float so may get the plus... when I can upgrade that is.

Wonder what size the iPhone X is going to be? Are they going to just have a Plus model?

Hope the wireless charging rumours are true too

Looks like the 8 and 8 Plus will just be an evolution of the 7 while the X will be the real revolutionary phone.

I'd expect next year iPhone 9 or whatever to carry on from the X's design with an iPhone 9SE will continue the traditional form factor.

I'm betting on an impractical 'X' shaped phone.

Losing the finger print sensor feels like a step backwards to me.

Ideally they'd put the fingerprint sensor on the back like the Pixel. I know some silly people would be disappointed if they copied the likes of LG by doing that but it works really well.
