Apple are hosting another event on October 30th, meant to be quite a bit there if rumours are to be believed (updates to iPad Pro, Mac Mini, presumably MacBook and new entry level MacBook, although surely they could merge these into one product line if they really wanted to). One line I'm really interested in is the iPad Pro line up though, my 2nd gen iPad that I bought in June 2011 is still ticking along nicely (although it does everything at it's own pace these days, quite often crashing an app once or twice before finally deciding to open it and browsing with more than one tab is a big no no ) but does feel like it's in desperate need of an upgrade. In an ideal world they'd also announce a new iPhone SE, I really can't justify paying £750 for the baseline iPhone XR when it'll probably see a lot more wear and tear than an iPad would do over the same time span even with a screen protector and a decent case.

I still don't see the point in that 12inch MacBook. One of the most pointless products apple have ever done. Should've been a newer version of the Air.

Yeah it is very overpriced for what it is, I don't see how they can introduce a new 'Air' laptop when the MacBook will probably be thinner than it though? I think the rumoured new laptop is meant to be an Air update though but I can see them merging the MacBook and Air lines by dropping the entry price of the MacBook to £1000 (it has been on the market for a few years now so surely its paid for the R&D costs on it?) and then introducing this new laptop at the £1250 price point (as I think it's meant to be a 13" laptop) which will just be a slightly larger version of said MacBook.

OMG I’ve just updated to iOS 12 and holding the space bar turns it into a trackpad and it’s the best update in years, because the old cursor placement method was ridiculously fiddly. (My phone doesn’t have 3D Touch.)

I am looking forward to Tuesdays event, things I want are a new iPad Pro, AirPower, AirPods 2 and maybe even a new MacBook Pro,

These new iPad Pros look great, get the feeling they're going to be a decent price increase over the previous generation though.

They're really expensive but I'm not going to lie, really tempting as well, they look a great package. My current iPad was my go to device for a long time (not currently mind as its now stupidly slow), one of these would definitely rectify that :slol:

Well, I think they are fantastic, so I'll be getting one too, along with the new Pencil.

Chances are I'll certainly be getting one as they do look fantastic, not sure which screen size to go for mind as regardless it'll be a massive increase in size and quality over my current iPad (2nd gen). Only slightly annoying thing is for an iPad Pro I feel like 128gb would be ideal and that's the one option they don't offer!

Anyhow I'll be waiting for reviews and to see if Logitech put out a rival for the keyboard case Apple offer at between £180 to £200 depending on the size, although at least Apples offering protects the back as well this time.

Edit, watched some hands on videos and it really does look like a great device.

I think I will get the 12.9 one in silver, the new pencil and I think just the normal folio case because I don’t think I will need a keyboard

That's the MacBook Air they should've released years ago instead of that 12inch MacBook.

Well, there's the iPad update I was waiting for. Only now I still don't know which to choose. I like the idea of the enormo-pad, but I reckon it'll be too cumbersome. The new 11-inch Pro seems to be identical in spec except for the size, so that might be my best choice. And it's more or less the same size and weight as my original Air, but with a much larger screen because of the reduced bezel. I'll wait until I can get hands-on at a store.

I'll probably end up with the 12.9" model, it'll certainly be my go to device in most circumstances (maybe all circumstances now? I have no idea how much iOS has evolved since iOS 9) so I'll probably appreciate the extra screen space. Looks like some lines of the new pros are selling well anyway, couple of items have a 2 to 3 week dispatch time now. I reckon my main issue is 64GB or 256GBm, still reckon they should have started at 128GB ideally.
