Prices on these things are now ridiculous but I'm sure Apple must know what they are doing and what they can get away with. Thing is it's easy to say it's a grand for a phone but when you look at the processing power of these things now it's crazy. I think during that augmented reality game presentation the game designer said the game was running in native 4K HDR with a locked 60FPS. It only seems like a few years back I had a Sharp clamshell that was cutting edge because it had a 1MP camera and MP3 ringtones.

Got it in one. You have to look at your phone, then press it to the pay pad. Which is obviously much easier then using your thumb. Obviously.

I used to love the James Bond feeling that using your Apple Watch for Apple Pay gives me but have recently found this somewhat dissipated by that weird pause moment you have to endure when the cashier realises you are paying by Apple Pay and then has to press another button to bring up the contactless pay screen. It's all rather awkward and destroys the mystique.

Bloomin' expensive at $999 for the 64GB X, but I guess we always knew it would be. They didn't even mention the price of the top end one.

It's £999 for 64gb and £1149 for 256gb.

Don't get why its either 64GB or 256GB. The iPhone 8 seems like a nice upgrade though but at £799 for the plus...has this gone up? How much was the 6S plus?
Think i'll keep using my iPhone 6 for now though....£999 is just OTT even those the facial recognition technology is mighty impressive....the detail is amazing.

The X feels very much like an early adopter product to me. What with Apple and Samsung unable to produce OLED screens in enough quantities, and not yet having figured out a way to implement the home and finger print scanner into the screen, this is a way to charge a huge amount for a device that's about 2-3 years early and not currently in a position to be built on a large enough scale to be sold as the mass market or main model. In other words they're still making money on something they otherwise would have had to hold back until 2018/19.
