Well the second credit has ran out and I'm off to ask for change of a tenner.

Join me again in three weeks time when ARcade Attacks returns!

In the meantime here's the last installment in this run!

Well done to Ironhide who correctly guessed Cannon/Gun Spike as the final game on the teaser. Much kudos and so on.

Hey guys.

Just a quick announcement to say that I'm going to be putting ARcade Attacks on a temporary hiatus for the forseeable future.

I want to make clear that it WILL return, I just have something else I want to do as well and I may not have time to do that, the Podcast AND ARcade Attacks.

If I can fit it in I will, but I want to see how much time this other project is going to take up. Look forward to seeing something about that in the very near future as I know it's something that some people have been asking for.

Thanks guys!

That's a shame, I really enjoy these, but it's cool that you have another project in the works. Can't wait to see what it is.

I was gonna wait a few more days to launch it, but I was writing the OP at work and just through "strawberry float it" and posted it. :fp:

But like I said, ARcade Attacks! is not done. It will be back.

So I've got a few things in mind for the new run of ARcade Attacks, which I plan to launch following on from AYAMM finishing at the end of January.
I might shake the format up slightly, with a move away from six episode "seasons", to a new episode every two weeks or so. Don't know yet.

Are there any Arcade games people would like to see? Anything you think would be interesting to look at or see some more of?
I don't want to concentrate on just the big name titles (Though there will be some of them).

I've already got one or two games that I definitely want to do, but I'm always looking for interesting games to look into talk about. Suggestions will be appreciated.

Lets go away...

Will you be playing any of these arcade games with people to get a multiplayer approach to you reviews? You could (if you could be arsed) play them in SP and MP. Just a thought.

I like the season format, it should help keep it fresh and prevent you burning out sort of thing.

Oh, yeah! The mighty Arcade Attacks! is gonna be back :toot: .

Great stuff, Dev. My personal suggestion is that you produce new shows as and when you feel like it rather than forcing yourself to meet a schedule. Hopefully the series will last longer if you're enjoying it :) .

As for particular games, how about... Spy Hunter, Bomb Jack, Sega Rally or Gauntlet? I haven't played *that* many games in the acade, but I did enjoy a couple of goes on those!

Well done Qikz. You solved my most cunning of riddles.

But yeah I'm planning on Daytona USA being one of the games I do this time around. Getting a Wheel and pedals for Christmas so I can, hopefully, play it properly now. It really doesn't emulate well with a pad.

Some good suggestions there guys.

Pedz - I might. Depending on how I feel. I loathed Mamehub with a passion.

Errkal - Looking to space things out a little bit, so not necessarily an Episode a week. Probably one every two, with something in the middle maybe.

Jawa - Funnily enough, before I launched AYAMM again I'd already recorded footage for Sega Rally. It might come back this time around so we'll see. Bomb Jack is definitely one I've been considering for a while.

Looking to try some different stuff with it as well. The Marvel Vs Capcom video I did for the Civil War launch was great, as I got to take a look at several titles in one go. I've got an idea for an episode I want to do that will look behind the scenes of a couple of games and specifically the hardware it was teasing. I'll say no more about it as I don't want to tease it and then I can't get it to work the way I like.

I'll give more concrete details once I have them. But I'm looking forward to it. :D

Now you have MAMEhub sorted it shouldn't be a problem in the future though.

On the list.

I just didn't like anything about it. The fact it was a dick to set up didn't help. Then there's the grief we had trying to get the right people as the right characters, not to mention the pain in the arse setting the correct controls. Plus it lost sync a few times.

I'll use it if I absolutely have to, but frankly it was shite.

I didn't mind it, you had to be organised with connecting up but getting controls wasn't that bad.

Cheeky; Errkal, Pedz and I had no issues connecting at all. Don't blame the program.
