No. It is his opinion. It's just that when he states his opinion he makes it like it's a matter of fact. He truly believes that these tracks/games/films (it doesn't really matter what, it's all the same) are the only ones that you should like. If you don't like them then you are wrong. Simple as. He will not accept your opinion. He will not appreciate your feelings. He will relentlessly state that it is YOU who is wrong for having a differing opinion. He can't be reasoned with. He certainly can't be bargained with. He's relentless.

And it's Hugo's opinion too.

I know, I just hate folk like that.

People have said otherwise and I haven't taken them to task over it. Meanwhile you argued with people who liked Rococo because you don't like it.

On a related note, Half Light II entered my ever growing list of favourite tracks today. :shifty:

Hmm...can't see anyone disagreeing with you directly, so you've got no reason to comment.

Someone replied to my dislike of Rococo, so I explained why I didn't like it (to which I got called a twat by the way), am I not allowed to do that?

You're doing exactly what you profess to hate.

I'm with H I thought Rococo was awful, didn't remind me of Fleetwood Mac at all though, but maybe we're thinking of different Fleetwood Macs

HSH28 wrote:These are the good tracks...

Ready to Start
City With No Children
Half Light I
Suburban War
Deep Blue
We Used to Wait
Sprawl II

...the rest is mostly filler, with a couple of tracks I really don't like.

Can't understand the majority of you who think its better than either of the previous albums, I mean its a very good album, but both Funeral and Neon Bible are exceptional.

I'll listen to it again, with those in mind, though I can't believe you've excluded the title track.

And Masterpiece is clearly a massive leap, even if you do love it.

Hugo strawberry float of to GGC where people don't mind your opinions, yeah?

Everyone else, stop trying to purposely wind him up.

If you're just going to argue like sissy girls you might as well lock the topic.

The album itself is really good I think, but there is one bit in Suburban War where he sounds SO much like bono it makes me cringe, has anyone heard it?

I don't think HSH has done anything bad. He doesn't need to strawberry float off anywhere.

Been listening to this album all week and I absolutely love it. I agree with what someone said earlier, every time I listen I seem to add a new track to my list of favourites. Would be pointless to go through them because I think most of the tracks would be on there!

At the moment this is my favourite of the three albums, whether that's just because it's new I don't know. Special mention to the title track and the continuation as the closer

The reason I left The Suburbs off my list is the opening reminds me of another track...I think its a Thrills track (though it could easily be something else), I can't quite place which and it just jars me out of appreciating the track every time I hear it.

I definatly like the album but it does seem like there is no standout track like on there previous albums. I do like alot of tracks though. The title track, Half Light II and Modern Man are my favourites at the moment.

It definitely gets better with every listen. I've had the title track stuck in my head all day.

I've listened to all three albums back to back a couple of times this weekend, and I've come to the conclusion that Arcade Fire are a gooseberry fool band for gooseberry fool people. All sounds the same: slow start which builds with steady strings to a bombastic crescendo. It's awful and everyone should stop listening to it and stop believing the hype. This band are a one trick pony.

I hate them.
