A Christmas arcade bundle with "the usual Arcade goodies (512MB memory card, etc.), the new Fall update pre-loaded as well as a motion controller and a few motion controlled mini games developed by Rare" at a very mainstream $199.99 price point would makes things very interesting in the run up to Christmas sales wise.

No it wont. Microsoft dont have Wii Fit. or Mario Kart. It might find a niche amongst its existing market like the eyetoy on the PS2 but thats all. Granny wont be buying a 360 anytime soon.

It just won't work. PS3 may be able to pull it off, but Microsoft have no where near the amount of prestige and brand power than Nintendo or Sony have. It'll grab a few sales, but not who Nintendo is attracting I bet.

They really have run out of ideas haven't they. Good luck to them I say. I actually heard that the bundled mini-games included tennis, golf, baseball and bowling.

I think it's foolish to judge the potential success of this bundle based only on the hardware included. This kind of thing surely has to come back to the software... of which we've seen nothing. It won't shift the Wii from the public eye... but it could supplant it in people's minds as the "premium" option.

If the play experience is notably better than the Wii, then surely MS could really have something with this.
