It seems at this point in the year, there's bugger all to really look forward to.

We have Halo 3:ODST coming (but with very little details), Alan Wake (with very little details) and...Fifa 2010.

What am I missing here people?

BioShock 2's out this year.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Ugh, DS, really?

The last was fun enough, but I found it a bit tedious. How about something that's actually going to change up things? A proper Zelda sequel, something new? I feel so jaded towards gaming at the moment. Everything's half measures or predictability trite and geared towards morons (Dirt 2).

Ah yes, Bioshock 2. Should be good, but still, a sequel to an original game. Anything excitingly new and original on the horizon?

You know, originality doesn't automatically mean good. Similarly a sequel doesn't automatically mean bad. I suggest you take a break from gaming if you're jaded.

Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, Ratchet & Clank Future 2, Fat Princess, Katamari Tribute, Infamous, MAG and White Knight Chronicles are the first things to come to mind for me.

There's loads of good games that are out already, loads that have just come out, and loads that aren't out yet.
If you're running out of things to look forward to on your console, my advice is simple - buy another console

Harry Potter: And The Half-Blooded Prince, Halo 3:ODST, Uncharted 2, new Zelda DS, Bioshock 2 for me.

I'm mostly picking up games I've missed last year(s) - there's alot of games I've missed last year cause I can't afford to buy them at full RRP. Now I got em cheap.

Darksiders: Wrath of War looks like an interesting spin on the Zelda-esque dungeon action adventure, Just Cause 2 is shaping up to be a really promising title provided the devs can fill in the deficiencies of its predecessor, and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood looks like it's going to be a potentially fantastic wild west shooter.

Compared with the last two years of games I would describe it as 'utter pish'. Maybe there is more to be announced. Meh.

I'm really hoping for some BioShock 2 info/video at E3. I thought the teaser site was building up to GDC but it sort of fizzled out.

We'll probably get some ODST info too, not that I'm that interested. I'm bracing myself for a big disappoint there.

“Have you news of my game Bioshock?”
Not this tide.
“When d’you think that it’ll come back?”
Not with this wind blowing, and this tide.

“Has any one else had word of it?”
Not this tide.
For what is sunk will hardly swim,
Not with this wind blowing, and this tide.

“Oh, dear, what comfort can I find?”
None this tide,
Nor any tide,
Except it will not shame its kind —
Not even with that wind blowing, and that tide.

Then hold your head up all the day,
This tide,
And every tide;
Because it is the game you'll play,
And give to that wind blowing and that tide!
