There isn't a hell of a lot out over the next few months, really.

Virtua Tennis 2009, maybe...but I don't know what that's going to add over 3. Mafia 2 should be good, but Gameplay seem to have given that a tentative date. Probably won't see it till September.

Download wise there's Wallace & Gromit, along with Sam & Max which I'll probably buy.

Actually there's quite a bit...

Phantasy Star Portable, Company of Heroes Tales of Valor, Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena, Punch-Out, Operation Flashpoint 2, Fuel, Virtua Tennis 2009

Not terrible for a couple of months.

I'm pretty interested in Red Dead Revolver 2 (or whatever it's called). The screens in the recent Games tm looked really good.

On top of whate everyone else mentioned,Tales of Vesperia sould be out over here soon and Lionhead said there's more Fable II dlc in a couple of weeks. There's not a shortage of stuff coming out this year.

What I worry about is what it's going to be like in a couple of years time. The games coming out now started developement back before the recession, so we can count on a good flow for some time yet, but eventually the downturn is going to catch up with us and output is going to slump somewhat. Less original titles, less niche titles, more franchise titles and sequels and fewer games over all.

I just find that anything I'm looking forward to isn't out 'til Q3 at the very earliest, with some even late 2009/early 2010.

Armed Assault 2, Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2. Probably end up being the only games I buy this year.

COD: Modern Warfare 2, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Bioshock 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, God Of War 3 (maybe), Tekken 6

thats just a handful of my most anticipated releases. there are so many good games coming out this year. Gaming is going to be one hell of an expensive passtime for me this year.

Yo peeps, when I picked up my DSi in Gamestation on friday I also saw Mafia (PC version) for £1.99. It's been preying on my mind, should I? That was the good version, the console adaption was the borked version, correct? I could do with a cheap, quality game for my PC.

Diablo 3 and Star Craft 2 are on the list but not released for ages. :(

Assassin's Creed 2 is this year as far as I know, plus announcements about any new games is always welcome.

Are Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 scheduled to be out this year?

Should be a significant DLC in the works for Fallout 3 as well.

The 360 games I am mostly looking forward to are Modern Warfare 2, Fifa 2010 and GTA IV DLC2!

Apart from that I am going to pick up games I have not had chance to play yet!

Just ordered The Orange Box for £15!

I still need to buy a couple of The Lego Games and I may give Fallout 3 a try at some point but i'll wait till that drops more as i'm not sure its my cup of tea!

Bear in mind we are on the edge of the annual summer lull.

I'm looking forward to ArmA-II if they keep the game play right but smooth some of the more abrasive edges they may very well have a hit on their hands.

ArmA game play is solid enough but getting it to run right can be a pain. Also getting into a server can at times be problematic. Once your playing it fine, and strangely additive. I have logged many hours playing this game, each time I think "just an hour or so" then my stomach grumbles and I realise it's been four hours :)

If they can make ArmA-II run right, without too much pain then it will live up to it famous forbear Operation Flashpoint.

Or alternatively, Operation Flashpoint 2 will probably be a better 'game'.
