Has a perfect game ever happened before?
I think that this game has been a perfect demonstration of role claiming in action. We had a little bit of luck with our lynch picks, but we were open about our plans in thread and with everyone coming forward, we were able to narrow our options down well. Sometimes luck would go against us and the calls wouldnt go our way, but this time, it worked to perfection.
I don't think outside of my last game I ran there's been many games that have been this small which probably helps make perfect games possible as there's less chaos.
I certainly didn't expect the game to end at the start of Day 3. I thought It'd be completely imbalanced if I allowed the werewolf to attack before night 3 because I assumed at this point one if not both of the mafia would still be alive and everything would still be somewhat chaotic. The fact you managed to put both mafia players up for lynch on day 1 and then Jane managed to target the one person who was protected on the first night meant it was always going to be hard, but I never forsaw a perfect game!
The very fact that you almost lynched Poirot yesterday despite him almost having a foolproof claim as well was hilarious.

I do wonder if this style of setup ends up being town favoured purely due to the difference in timescale relative to a Town of Salem game where everything is a lot more fast paced. Like in a Town of Salem game I wouldn't have had time to mull over Poirot's claim and realise he was likely innocent as I would have had a minute to make the call. With this many roles and much longer to plan it can easily turn into a 'solved' game for the village after a role call like it did in the last phase although I suppose that was because none of the baddies jumped in with fake claims to disrupt the role call.

Jane Marple wrote:Yeah felt like we were on damage control pretty much from the off! Was hard to know how to play it today, I tried to stay engaged but didn't want to push agendas too much as I was already under suspicion and at one point it looked like they were going to fall to in fighting and I'd at least love another day but alas 'twas not to be!
I was busier than expected with work and family stuff this week so it was always going to be hard to fully engage as I'd have liked to which was a shame. With more time to think/plan I'd have done things differently - putting a vote in for Frank (sorry m8) might have helped, and I'd also probably tried to get a role claim in last night/this morning - was considering posing as either the Survivor or Lookout as that was my role last time so I thought I'd be able to bluff it quite well (I was also factoring in that it was a role that may not be used again so I wouldn't be clashing with a legit Lookout! )

Is it bad that I immediately clocked this after you started triple posting

Also... winning streak of 2 games baby.
Chief Inspector wrote:If there's one thing that comes from this game I hope that it's showing that role claims a) work and b) even if you role claim it doesn't actually make it an instant win.
Chief Inspector wrote:Also for the record when I was thinking of what name themeing to go with the idea of Dick Tracey being called Dick all the time and how much that would make me laugh reading the thread was definitely not taken into account. Especially yesterday when the lynch vote had Magnum and Dick voting for someone in a row

I really wanted to do a full Lupin theme but then I realised people wouldn't really know a lot of the characters so I went with famous detectives instead so I could still use Zenigata.

I kept lookout because when working out what roles to add to the game I realised with so few players having a Sheriff and an Investigator might be a little bit broken. I imagined there might be players who might try and roleclaim as there was one last game as well.
I think given how fast it's all gone my plans have kinda made it difficult for the neutral killer that's left, but let's see if they can do anything.
