Everyone in this game has a special role and yet no-one's actually bothering to use them, then? It's all well and good claiming roles that just wouldn't happen to be affected by a roleblocker, but someone *has* to be lying.

Convenient (as ever) that you just bypass another day of activity, too. Interesting you didn't bother to claim your protection role when everyone else was role-claiming, too. You only bring it up to try and rubbish my roleclaim when I say I've blocked you.

The arsonist took out three decent roles in one swift hit. Together with the death of Ronnie, thats 4 roles which could have been blocked, all killed in one day. It does seem that the roles left in play are going to have minimal impact on the final outcome.

A role that *could* have helped is a protection role, which George is now claiming. Despite letting Frank die on the first day, and letting Judy die on the second after she outed the mafia and told us she was an immensely helpful special role.

If George *isn't* the arsonist, he's been a complete waste of space and taken up a role that someone who actually wanted to play could have used to good effect. I'd like to hear his excuses as to why he seemingly hasn't bothered using it, but I can't imagine he'll check in again before the lynch.

My role was limited to two uses. I've kept them to hold them over tonight and tomorrow as that is when I expect the game to end. George may have had similar limitations if their claim is genuine.

So I've read up on the Arsonist on the wiki linked to one page one and they have two night actions to choose from, which is to douse somebodies home in fuel or to light the fire.

Based on the Arsonist activity, it would suggest that the Arsonist in this game can pick up to 3 people to douse in a single night and light the fire the following night. There are 4 players left, so if this is right, we need to catch them today, or we all burn.

If my understanding is true, I made the wrong decision in not following through on my pledge to stand guard last night as having read in to it this morning, I can block the douse stage, but not the ignition stage, which will likely happen tonight. :fp:

I don't think people needed to worry about having limited uses for their roles when there's only twelve people playing so the game can't possibly last that long :slol:

Sorry Dusty. You have raised doubt in my mind, but on the balance of what is in front of us, I think you still remain the prime candidate for Arsonist. Further to what has been said previously, I took a further look at this post...

Wait what? :slol: The only reason I thought it was safe to assume you were *also* an escort was the reference to your charms, as that's one of the keywords from the role PM.

I can't see anything on the wiki for this game which suggests the existence of a charm for that role, which gives me 3 possibilities:

1. I missed it on the wiki page
2. It isn't on the article and Shirley guessed the name of the item referred to in the PM that you received
3. The item wasn't in the article or the PM and the message above was an attempt to forge an alliance through a shared lie

So I've decided to stay with my gut and vote to lynch Dusty.

Well done all for making it to what I suspect is the final day, regardless of outcome, but fingers crossed the town have this in the bag!

Well yeah that's what really threw me, too :slol: I'm out at the moment, but will try and argue my case properly later. What I will say though, is if George *is* the arsonist, then at least we'll make it through tonight.

How we managed to go from nabbing the two mafia members almost immediately to chasing our own tails around the arsonist is anyone's guess.

I can't be bothered with a massive war and peace post so I'm just going to re-emphasise what I've already said:

If George is a protection role and he didn't use it on Judy once she'd proven she was the lookout (which from what I can see isn't a turn-limited role, so it could have helped us numerous times to locate the last wrong'un), then he deserves to die for not bothering to play the game and completely strawberry floating us over. With only twelve people involved the timewasters become even more fatal to the town.

You can't claim a role like that when the only evidence available is that you've completely failed to make yourself useful at every given opportunity and not bothered to save vital players. You've been handed essential protection-worthy players every turn.

If the rest of you are genuinely going to lynch me over him based on the fact that for a fleeting moment I thought that there might have been another escort then you deserve to lose.

I’m worried about having the deciding vote in this. It’s either George or Dusty, and what Dusty says about George not using his powers to save Judy rings a bell.
Could George confirm why he didn’t save her?

You'll be lucky. He's "busy" today, so it'll be another day where he'll avoid any and all conversation and re-emerge to make some general spammy posts to avoid being godkilled after people have died.

EDIT: It's telling that the conversation's been so quiet today. All the actual arsonist has to do is avoid the lynch today and they've basically got it in the bag, if Cliff's assumptions about their role are correct.

After a peaceful night, surely with strong heads on their shoulders the town would be able to breathe a sigh of relief, take inventory of everything that had happened up until now and plan for victory. Judging by the discussions Dusty had spent her time in the city doing the best she could for the betterment of everyone. Was this just a ruse? Was Dusty secretly the Arsonist who had previously burned three of London's finest? As today began it appears mob mentality had become rife, without the iron fist of the Kray Twins keeping everyone on edge even the more level headed of us all had started to show some cracks.

With 2 votes you have chosen to lynch Dusty Springfield

My noble officers went to pick up Dusty from her home around 5PM ready for the upcoming execution. Dusty it appeared had done what she could, claiming her innocence had taken all the energy away from her and feeling betrayed by her fellow townmates she'd all but given up. It was clear she didn't want to lose her life in this way. For Dusty she'd believed always tried to help in the best way she could. Officers report that a rift formed after the late Shirley Bassey Reggie Kray had attempted to claim the same role and it appears with the outcome of the vote Dusty was never able to reclaim the trust of the town that had been lost that day. Was it all a ruse? Had the town finally caught the bastard who had murdered 3 of their own in cold blood?

Dusty steps up to the gallows, conviction in her eyes it appears she was ready to accept her fate. The floor drops and in an instant Dusty Springfield is gone.

DUSTY SPRINGFIELD SHIFTS FROM THIS MORTAL COIL

SHE WAS...

THE TOWNS ESCORT

Dusty Springfield you are an Escort

Ever since you were young you always knew that you had a special amount of popularity with people. You are irresistable and you often find yourself looking for fun. Hey, what's wrong with a little bit of fun right? The Krays are in power and while crime rages the streets, you can't complain about the nightlife. So many socialites and celebrities frequent the nightclubs and they're always up for a little bit of action.

The Escort is a Town Support role. Each night your charm allows you to target one player and cause them to focus on you distracting them from any night actions they may wish to take. You are essentially a role blocker. Your ability itself cannot be blocked itself unless blocked by another role blocker.

As a town role you will win with a Town Victory. Your goal is to lynch every criminal and evildoer.

You must not reveal the contents of this PM to anyone.

Unless otherwise stated, you are NOT allowed to comunicate with any other player outside of the game thread.

You have until Wednesday 23rd of March to create your alt account when the game will begin at 10AM GMT.

Dusty had played quite the game, blocking Shirley Bassey from being able to make a kill the night before she was lynched. Just a shame nobody from the town realised. May you rest in peace Dusty and may your death not be in vain.

Her last will reads:
Enjoy it. I hope it makes you happy. Dear lord, what a sad little life. You've ruined my night completely.

With that, the game will continue. All night roles have until 10PM to get their abilities sent in to me.

Well done to the Arsonist. With no way for us to block your final move tonight, do you fancy revealing yourself?

At this point, I literally have no idea. If we survived the night, I would probably vote for George on the basis of Dustys arguments (and partly out of guilt for lynching Dusty), though it wouldnt shock me if Sammy turned out to be the rotten egg at the last moment.

However, I have zero expectation that we will survive the night. The final move is inevitable and unblockable, so lets be honest with each other, enjoy a final meal and accept our fate. Put us out of our misery and enjoy a few hours of glory!
