Did you suspect aayl1 was a seer when you offed him?

I know that Tsunade had said she thought he was a seer in thread but I thought it seemed clear he meant that the TNAG avatar thing was stupid, so I didn't think it necessarily made him stand out. Was it that interaction which got him killed or something else?

I think Tsunade spotted the same thing we did - IIRC he made a definitive statement about someone being a villager (TNAG I think?)

But I didn't even seer TNAG!

I was trying to post the same way I would be if I ws a villager - a little vocal and pushy about my opinions (perhaps that was the mistake) . It was so obvious the avatar thing was a dead end that I was just being hyperbolic.

Great game Drummy - thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks so much for hosting.

I had this same thought after dual was killed. If I was a Grinch I could probably win from there!

In fact with the lack of mourning period after the alpha is killed there is no difference between an alpha and a normal wolf once all seers are gone. Sacrificing the alpha at the point could be a very strong move for the wolves.

Has there ever been a case in these games where a wolf has sacrificed themself in order to help build trust for the other wolves?

I feel like there are a few cases where it would be a very strong move to make for the remaining wolves, like where Satriales has mentioned here. There is no victory in death so would people consider it against the spirit of the game?

Yeah, as a villager I never thought those posts seemed to indicate you were a special role as I thought it was clear you were calling out the TNAG thread as stupid rather than anything else. It would be silly for a seer to be so obvious about it if you had checked TNAG. It clearly put a target on you though so I guess the hyperbole was a bad move!

Kind of. DML (as Alpha) lynched one of his pack, the trust he won off the back of that took him to the very end just coming up short.

That was another great game, made great by DML's decision. It was a bold move, in hindsight it should have been obvious because the explanation for how he knew Songwriter was a wolf was absolutely riddled with holes but it's hard to see that clearly when you're in the thick of it. Sykes was a seer and had seered DML early, he even said to me that he thought DML was the Alpha but we went after the other wolves instead rather than chasing that shadow, nearly cost us the game since we all got killed off long before the end and hadn't been openly doubting DML in the thread.

If I remember rightly, Songwriter was offed without consent and was not happy about it either. :slol:

No, I think most people probably weren't. I got a couple of PMs from Cora when he was about to die and I was defending him but that's it.

Seems a bit harsh from DML if Songwriter hadn't agreed to sacrifice himself

Gutted to have missed all the closing action with this. I was at a Christmas party and have only just this morning emerged from the resulting coma.

Huge thanks to Drummy for running it  had a great time.

A glorious victory for the village :msgreen: :toot: defeat for Grinch Scum .

He hadnt posted for a while so I assumed he was inactive. Of course when the plan started to go into full swing, he started poating again and I had to tell him the bad news! His in activity was why the plan was hatched, to make use of an inactive wolf.

To be fair I had absolutely no morals in that game. I was a complete and utter bastard.
