SD did say that they can choose to kill less people if they wanted.

Not sure why they would do that though. :?

Drummy and Kanbei are big losses. Very experienced players. :( :(

Just wait for the inevitable now.

The joy of getting home and seeing the thread motor on about 20 pages is that you just know something good has happened.

I think 'Falsey is doing an Alpha' sacrifice angle is a pretty absurd one (Although if anyone has the cojones for it, it's him.), though.

I was a bit suspicious of Drummy and thought he might be a vigilante, but as he's not then that's a big loss as he very good at the game. Presumably that's why he was targeted. :(

5 vigi's would not mean 5 kills. In the past we've started with 5 or 6 vampires and only started with 3 kills per night, down to 2 after the first lost vampire.

You can usually tell the good players because they will be active and question, without going batshit insane at every development.

They will be missed.

I suppose they could make us believe that there is one fewer Vigi than there actually is.

The benefits of this would be possibly negligible, as they would never be able to use their maximum number of kills per night.

The most likely scenario is still that there are 3 Vigis out there.

Did SD explicitly mention that there were 5?

Spitballing here - but what if the Vigi's are limited in the shots they can take somehow and take them independently? The way you got Gunshot 1, then two gunshots together was odd.

Looking at the departed's post history these caught my eye:

[iup=3571179]Kanbei[/iup] wrote:I seriously think that going inactives this early is stupid. I imagine all the vigi's have posted by now to make sure they aren't on the list, waste of time if you ask me.

Contradictory opinions all over the place, can't see anything we can really use.

To be expected from normal players operating blind though, tbh.

Op says:

The Tyol Nethon Vigilantes will be permitted as many kills per night as there are remaining numbers in their ranks

Which makes it 3 vigis total left then ;)

It's most likely targeting good players. Drum's one of the best AYA's out there and Kanbei/Zellery are vets of winning games.

If they continue in that vein, it'll be interesting to see which players they *don't* kill.

I was reading the opening post again and....

[iup=3570585]Dan.[/iup] wrote:The mayor does not care who survives this terrible injustice, so long as blood is shed and peace is triumphant.

He is too naive to understand that he has created a situation where the Tyol Nethon Vigilantes can succeed, so long as they can control the rest of you, and paint a picture of a false peace.

Find and kill those Tyol Nethon Vigilantes, before they do the same to you - it's the only way to escape this hell on earth.

Are they trying to trick us into thinking there's less of them and they somehow win then?

Because you can't make a kill from inside the Mayor's house, right?

That is a really good point actually.

If that is the strategy then they have at least one good player amongst their ranks as well. Maybe even the alpha.
