The only thing that I can think of is what happened during GGGWC, the PSO one. Toxic and Big Frank left it, and created quite a bit of controversy. Toxic hasn't been a fan of any of DML's recent games, and is (Or was, while he was still around) quite outspoken with his criticism of them.

Although it seems really petty to not let someone play just because they criticise your other ones, so it must be something else. :?:

I'm fairly sure cheating has taken part in every single one of DMLs games. The GR Absolution thread has quite a lot of people confessing to it.
