The way he said it sounded very definitive.

Well the rules don't say anything about inactives do they? And he seems to have made a fairly definitive statement there - which seems a bit dodgy to me?

Ohhh, I see now.

Hmm, looks to me like he's just basing that off previous games. I would be extremely surprised if a wolf chose to clarify wolf rules openly in the thread to everyone else. My reading of that post was that Tomous is trying to point out that those nominated for lynching are more semi-actives - a group that the wolves are more likely to try and hide within. Whereas true inactives will be culled.

If what he said isn't a common rule here, I'm up for lynching Tomous. It's more to go on than anything else we have.

Just in case any clarification is needed...

Those standing for Mayor or those elected are able to change their platform/candidates whenever they wish up until they clearly state their final choices in the thread once elected.

Once the chosen candidates have been clearly stated, however, they're locked in and voting will commence.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Has Tomous played many of these games before? The inactives rule for early kills isn't something I'd expect someone who's played just one or two games to be definitely clued in on, given it's usually unspoken rather than explicitly stated.

I think it was probably a typo or assumption based on past games, but hes signed his death warrant now.

Tomous is probably assuming the rules are the same as previous games and that the wolves are required to kill inactives at first.

Just in case though, if Mini-E wants to swap Kanbei for Tomous then I am happy to leave my vote with Mini-E.

Shall we integrate him into the lynch? The other option is keeping the current candidates and asking a vigilante to shoot at Tomous tonight.

Edit fails

This was a vote for Mini E which I edited then submitted instead of quoting and pasting in a new reply :fp:

Do we even know if there are vigilantes? Let's be honest, gaff or no it's pretty suspicious - Tomous has to go now.

Edit: I'll change my vote to whoever'll put him up.

Jesus Christ, this game

It's a common rule is it not?

And every single werewolf kill yesterday was a completely inactive poster.

I'm not sure how vigilantes work (this being my first game) but I'm assuming their powers have a limited number of uses? Plus we don't really have any other strong leads.

We also don't know if there are any vigilantes. Drummy said this game would be different to usual ones, it's probably best not to assume things work the same way (as Tomous is going to find out ;) ).

I've only played the vampire game and vigilante game. I was under the impression from those that it was the usual standard of business.

Vigilantes have previously only had one bullet for the entire game.

Right, I hate sticking my neck out this early but I don't think Tomous is a wolf.

He has played a couple of games before and the rule is usually in play. Not to mention, there were several posts reinforcing this view following the kills last night and I wouldn't say that's much reason to throw any of those posters in the gallows either.

I remember it being a rule from when I was a wolf too, in fairness.
Has he played a wolf before? Can we find out?

Also, vigis have two bullets I thought? Always used to.

I'm hoping that this time Vigis have grenades that can cause splash damage.

I agree. I don't think he's a wolf (based on this - not saying I'm certain of his innocence but this doesn't implicate guilt to me).

Okay I'm not going to put Tomous in as one of my candidates as a replacement. If anyone wants to run with him as a candidate and see how many people change their votes then that's fine - I just don't think I should be changing my candidates after receiving the majority thus far, when some of those majority are currently offline. If I get voted as mayor still then a vigi may choose to use a shot (especially if Lewis is correct and they do have two shots). Personally, I don't think Tomous has made a wolfy slip up because in the past what he stated has been a rule for the wolves.
