Firstly, I don’t believe Kanbei is a wolf given how many votes he’s been in and how the swing has been from Rik/Kanbei to myself/Kanbei. Which doesn’t really help my cause, but there you go.

However, I’d (obviously) encourage you to vote for him over me. He hasn’t contributed anything and I think it’s pretty obvious if you think about it logically, that it was just a poor choice of words on my part, especially given how I was discussing a rule that many others here have assumed was in play. Given the wolves killed 3 inactives on Day 1 (which I don’t think they’d ever do unless they absolutely had to) I think it’s a more than fair assumption that it is indeed part of their rules. I’d also encourage people to look at my post history, as I have been active and contributing towards discussions and trying to move things forward.

It would also be a really stupid mistake to make for a wolf, although from what I can gather from reading about past games, that I wasn’t involved in, you guys probably don’t have much trouble believing that could happen

So that’s my defence, not much more I can say, however, I know how these things work and people will want to tie up loose ends, especially given how there’s so little else to go on. So if I am lynched and when you confirm I’m just a villager it’s probably worth following up the Rik lead given how many votes the switch to myself gathered in a short amount of time. I would argue the Rik link was just as tenuous as mine, yet it did get a lot of momentum, especially as the clock ticked towards 2pm.

Feel abit stupid for derailing the thread over something so daft on my part (Mine E has already sent me a highly abusive PM for losing him his mayorship) but hopefully a closely contested vote (which is far better to have than the kind of vote we had on Day 1) could produce some useful information down the line.

I agree 100% but at this stage there is nothing at all to go on. We have no evidence against anybody and so have to jump on the little things that pop up in the hope it leads us somewhere.

Has Kanbei actually done anything to make us doubt him or is he up just because he has been quiet?

Why did I choose Kanbei?

At the point when Mini E was winning with eyes on Riksilver and Kanbei (the latter decided by coin toss between Pancake's choices) I had no significant suspicions about either of his choices and hadn't voted for him. When Tomous slipped up (see page 31) I put myself up for the vote and needed to state my choices. Actually I originally wanted to post my choices as: "Tomous and.... does it really matter " but given the previous discussion on wannabe-Mayors stating their choices before running for election I didn't submit that post. Instead, I glanced at the existing choices and Kanbei seemed obvious as two of my rival were also nominating him.

So with that, let's lynch either Tomous or Kanbei.

I'll be voting for Kanbei as he's not very active and Tomous didn't even slip up. He stated a commonly known rule that's been present in all of these games.

Riksilver just looked at PMs. I'm not convinced "looking at PMs" constitutes enough of a reason to go after him, and even if it did, it's not exactly sporting to use that as evidence since the page was disabled for the game soon after.

In my defence, at the time I was entirely unaware that the "who's online" bit was going to be disabled for the game or that it had been during past games (if it has). PMM can back me up on this as we were having a general conversation about the game as it begun and I mentioned it before the "who's online" was removed.

And putting up Tomous for stating a rule isn't a weak decision? My point was that Mini E's platform, although weak, was the less weak of the two.

I don't really understand why so many people suddenly jumped on Tomous and voted for him.

If neither tomous or kanbei turn out to be wolves then we should be looking at who quietly changed their votes without any vocal reasoning or, more importantly, who only voted for the first time once the tomous platform was announced.

How can you tell someone is checking their PMs?

I think we may need to also look at the people you put up for the lynch. If the vote was swung, it could have been done so to protect one of them.

At the moment you can't. Normally you can go into the Who is Online section at the bottom of the main page and see what people are doing, e.g. browsing off topic, composing a private message etc etc.
