most atheists seem to be bastards about it.. being arseholes to people when they chat about their religious beliefs.. like Gervais does..

no need.. why be a bastard cos someone believes different to you... thats exactly what religion X has done to religion Y for years..

I'm not an arsehole about it, but I'll argue my point just as strongly as I would anything else (in a friendly way). I don't take the viewpoint that just because the debate is about religion it means I have to pussyfoot around it. I genuinely believe that a person has to be a special kind of stupid to believe everything the Bible has to say, but I wouldn't actually say that to someone who does. I do have restraint in that aspect, if that's what you're asking.

One of those people in the street trying to talk to you about all that bollocks, I told one of them there is no 'god' and he got really angry. What's he gonna do, forgive me?!

They don't exist. I'd rather tear out my eyeballs and stuff them up my bell-end than sit and listen to an atheist talk to a theist about religion and God's existence.

I'm indifferent to Jesus and all that jazz, I let others get along the way they want.

I don't think this is true. The majority of atheists just go about their business. The vocal ones are just (obviously) more noticeable.

yeh.. pretty much what i meant... if its a religous discussion then.. yeh avcourse.. im talking about if someone you know mentions god in day to day convo.. and you start off at them..

ah. your probly right... but most people who go round saying they are atheists are the ones who are vocal.. if that makes sense...

My closest friend are strong Christians, and we often talk about my lack of belief and their strong faith. I don't constantly berate them about it though, and vice versa. We just chat about it. I'd be the same with any other person with religious beliefs, it doesn't bother me. I don't really care what they choose to believe in. Obviously I care regarding my friends, as it's so important to them, but I don't make a big deal of it.

I think some Atheists are just as bad as some religious people, in fact, I'd say that there are probably more nob-head atheists than there are religious folk.

There's only been a handful of people that have ever tried to force their religion on me, but I've heard strawberry floating loads of atheists getting all holier than thou over religious folks.

You can't prove that there's not a giant teddybear's head inside Jupiter. That doesn't mean it would be reasonable to assume there is until it's disproved.
