Not really. I like reading all the fallout after the press conference more than the conferences tbh.

There's a thread on grcade where people are saying "lol why do you read magazines? printed press is so 2012 derp derp derp" and I'm all like why are you staying up until 3am for three days in a row watching PR guys massage their stock holders dicks when you could just be a cool guy and watch the highlights on YouTube?

To me it's a part of gaming that should have died with the PS2 era. They're not important anymore. THe neogaf gifs are really good though

Do you people not have jobs to go to? I'm an adult.

I enjoy watching the conferences. It feels unique to the medium (even though it's not), and the fanboy fallout on here is always cringeworthy car-crash stuff, embarrassing but funny.

E3s like this one only come along once every few years. Considering how gooseberry fool most of the press conferences have been in the past few years I have my expectations in check but even despite that, it's new console time so it's hard not to be excited.

Sure I'm excited. Despite my outlandish predictions I know we'll likely be disappointed but at the same time a disappointed internet is usually a very amusing internet, so it's win win. I also think if ever an E3 was going to be amazing it would be this one.

Yep! What makes this year so interesting is not just the showing of new games but new mysterious hardware. There's gonna be a lot of good stuff.

I am. It's a bit disappointing that there is no Nintendo conference but they have a lot to prove this year so I'm expecting good things from them. Obviously both Sony & MS will be bringing their full artillery to battle and there should be plenty of next gen tech and games at the third party conferences too. In terms of potentially exciting news, E3 doesn't get much better than this.

I am mainly because it's the start of the new generation. Yeah we've seen the reveal conferences but this is where everyone and anyone will be showcasing their games.

Not interested in the conferences. Just waiting to see what games are to be announced.

New fallout or elder scrolls pls

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

How can one get excited for a medium which doesn't exist to be exciting? They're still an expensive clusterfuck to me. Which sounds exciting when you put it like that actually.

I prefer to not get drawn in by the hype, that way I'm never disappointed by the inevitable onslaught of mediocrity.

This way also makes the exiting announcements that much more rewarding.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

E3 is one of the few times of the year (along with Wrestlemania) where I will fully and unashamedly geek out. I'm fairly nonplussed about most things these days, so I find it good to regress to a childlike sense of unabashed glee, even if it's only for a couple days.

I'm the same, right down to the Wrestlemania thing.
