There's no combination where it wasn't an objectively terrible play for the town.
If he trusted you enough to kill someone on your say so. He should have trusted enough to let you be in charge. Can't have it both ways.
We got the same end result - but all it's done is made tomorrow harder to try and work through. (How harder depends on how people view events 0 admitedly I'm highg skeptical of everytone)
There were two scenarios (keeping it simple)
1) Nun was telling the truth about the Beta. All the questions that could still be asked about double bluffs etc about Nun will still be had about Kezzer - with extra complications.
If anything it's harder to think about Kezzer and double bluffs as Qikz and Nun validated each other, nothing validates Kezzer except killing someonewho was already going to be killed, and knowing Qikz was a role he already claimed...oh and Kezzer "forgot" to use him power on the other night eliminating a cross reference potential).
.
And Nuns still got a (smaller) question mark - but there are still (some, after all the beta died) questions to ask about Kezzer. Neither you or him are entirely validated by Tomos death from his own leadership would have. You just made the mess more complicated to decipher.
(Part of the negative viewpoint comes down to how likely you think it is Kezzer is bad un and that they infected choose not to infect tonight. YMMV on how likely a possibility that is. I keep going over and over it and can't decide if that's a better infected play, or pushing for more bodies...I can't decide. If Nun's on the up and up, the infected where already going to lose Beta and infections tonight. So would they gamble? I can't see them losing Beta and then a second infected just to get 3 infections...I think.
But I can't help coming back to the slim chance that Kezzer would be a great place for Alpha to hide. Are Qikz/Nun (our only chance to spot him) going to investigate him tonight? That seems very unlikely. In fact he's probably, as it stands, one of their least likely targets. In a game where the Beta was already known, hiding the alpha would be important. It's a far out idea, but I keep stumbling over it.
2) Nun was lying about the Beta. even an innocent Kezzer would have made it infinitely worse for town as we then have had to to think about Nun and him to decipher where the issue lay. This option right here, regardless of 1, makes it a terrible idea. IF Nun was lying (and apprently Nun wasn't trust worthy enough to follow through on killing the person Kezzer wanted dead) then the power grab made things so much harder for the town.
There is no combination where it isn't objectively a terrible play to help the town make sense of things - even if it bagged the beta (which would had to have happened anyway for the good the "good" scenario)
Fatdaz actually articulated part of my problems with the day better than I could - and I can't get past my (personal, addmitedly) other issues that have really soured the day for me. I don't think I'll be bothered to invest much time tomorrow*.(iintil work gets dull). Good luck (to both sides. I'm equally supportive)
