I am happy to be Day 1 Leader if no-one else wants to. Obviously we have nowt to go on so I don't have a plan or platform, but it would be bad if no-one did it.

I guess for my choice of lynching I would choose at random someone who hasn't posted at all in the thread. I don't think trying to divine the meaning of job titles will necessarily be helpful -- not because it's a bad idea, just because we don't understand anything about the lore of this world yet so we'll probably get it wrong.

I know no lynch is always the incorrect and boring option in regular mafias but in this setting it might not actually be the worst choice we could make. Usually we'd have about a 1/5 chance of hitting a mafian whereas this time it's a 1/24 (or 2/24 if there's a beta again I guess) of striking lucky and as players are being converted, not removed from the game, by the threat it could well be in our interests to keep the lynch majority higher. That and unless the village has some crazy power roles this game will be over in at max about 4/5 phases so I suspect the village is likely fairly stacked in power roles again making a random lynch fairly unappealing to me personally.

I think a No Lynch is probably the best option. There's very little chance of us actually hitting the baddie on day one and we're far more likely to take out an important power role.

I'm happy to take a vote - or just listen to discussion? - on whether or not 'not lynching anyone' might be the way forward. I personally think it's a shame to not use the lynch early on when it's less likely to be controlled by infected, but I'm not married to the idea if we reach a consensus otherwise.
