I figured the only way I get to keep living is by being honest so yeah, lay it on the line and stuff.

If I were infected I would have kept quiet and would probably already be dead. Cora I think considered the same thought of backup meaning backup alpha I think. YOu can tell from my votes that I havn't turned as I have voted in favour of a number of infected dieing, granted I voted for a few humans but so have we all it hasn't been a great few days :D

My main thinking is he's a distraction, if he was a spare, then became alpha, the vigi would have scanned him as alpha and revealed themselves to let us know so we could win it tomorrow. But if we can't think of an Alpha we could just kill him off to be safe.

And I still think we should go for abcd, he was online again today at half 4, but no new posts. He's up to something coming on several times a day and not posting.

Who else still in the game knew about Errkals role?

Probably would have gone for option 2 had it been my choice, since with an ever increasing percentage of the players being infected, the chances of us missing twice would be slim. That said it was a fairly marginal call, so I don't hugely mind.

Good news, if not unexpected, on Irene, and on Tomous and the failed infect as well. Shame about lynching a human, but on the whole another pretty good day.

My name is Douglas Quaid.

Image

As some of you have probably guessed after this evenings events, I am immune from Alpha attack. Recently I have began to remember someone else's life and more about my role on this base before it all went to gooseberry fool.

While on the subject of gooseberry fool... I would like to lodge a complaint with Shadow and our other fellow restroom attendants after what I found left in the communal showers this morning...

Image

Shortly after the virus outbreak which put us all in quarantine together, I made contact with Karl, Falsey and Cora in the hope I could find somebody else with a similar set of skills to myself. Obviously this situation we are all in does not lead itself to secret circles and as such I have been working alone during this game. Our three fallen comrades were the only people I entrusted with my secret.

Image

And it wasn't until very recently I learned the secret myself. I fear that time is short for all of us so I have decided it's time to tell everyone about this and hopefully we can all work together in our last ditch attempt over the next few days to save ourselves and our home planet as we know it. I know many of us here have left family back at home and will stop at nothing to keep them safe from what we are living with here.

Image

Because I have been working on my own I have been unable to contact our Space Marine corps. and help vet our staff on the base for infection. I have been running a smaller vetting operation on my own and as such have likely checked out a few members that have been given the once over by our Marines.

I did manage to tie up some lose ends early in this week. We had already lost Falsey and Karl, which left Cora the only member on this base who knew my real identity. I entered the stationary cupboard to ask him if he had passed my information on to other members here. He was unresponsive and only wanted to kill me. It felt like somebody else took over me. When I came too I found Cora dead in the corner with stationary scattered around my feet. I could see my handwriting on a note pinned to his chest with our company issued paper clips. I panicked and ran, this had to be another bad dream.

Image

Over the day I had suspicions of Mini E. I knew a member of the Marines had gone rogue and Mini E was acting strange. Somebody came to me privately and trusted me with some information. Mini E was a Marine and had supplied my contact with information regarding other members of our crew. It was all pretty vague but we were all taking a beating each night, all I remember was ripping him to pieces in the corridor outside the library.

Kezzer had kept pulling me over to the side of the room during the week and was asking very personal questions

Image

It seemed strange to me so I had him up the top of my list of suspects. I knew he wasn't the source of this virus and had to be someone tasked with finding out more about me and my role here. I left it a few days so it wasn't obvious the questions that he was asking led to his demise.

And so that leads us on to what happened today...

It was this list that I found rather suspicious

Image
Option 1 (3)
BID0, Sykes, mcjihge2, dayumchris

Option 2 (4)
TNAG, Errkal, Rhubarb, PPM

Option 3 (1)
TAP

Image

It was close. It was too close.

I have highlighted the members of our base whom I have found suspicious. They have been very active recently and steered our group on a number of things and they all seemed to group on the same choice.

Image

I have spent the entire time since the outbreak trying to poke the Alpha with a stick. It wasn't until today that the Alpha tried infecting me. I feel talking about the list above is what prompted this action. I was getting closer.

Image

I found it interesting the reactions from the group at the failed infection attempt

Errkal wrote:That's new

Problem is, the alpha now know's they're immune, and we don't, meaning they can use their team to get them lynched. I hope it's not the vigi.

Rhubarb wrote:Hope Arnold comes up with something decent to save today.

My source I mentioned earlier also mentioned these names to me in passing and so I decided today I would check out Errkal. We all know he is a bit workshy and always has an excuse to leave his post early. Today was no exception. A very curious thing happened when I attempted to scan him, my scanned jammed up and failed on me. I tried again but I got the same result.

Image

My device would only tell me "The Beta" before rebooting again and again on every scan attempt.

Image

I wasn't sure what to do. I knew we only had a matter of days left before everything for us was over, but could I trust the group...

Image

And so I stand before you today with what little information I have managed to aquire in my short time investigating.

Every person I have scanned has been infected. I have killed these people to protect the rest of this base. Every person apart from two...

Image

Zellery. I walked in on him, or should I say...

Image

HER!

Zellery is a Three Breasted Woman.

Image

Now I can only hope our last remaining Space Marine has also checked out Zellery and seen the same wonders that I have. If so they would hopefully trust me.

Image

We don't have long until we lose.

Luckily for our species, and unluckily for me I can not be infected. A second attempt will kill me. You may ask why am I divulging this information?

Image

Well I can not be turned. Any information brought to me will be gone on my death.

I plead our last remaining Space Marine to bring any information they have acquired during our lock down. I will then be able to share this publicly with everyone, without breaking their cover.

We can then all work together as a group to narrow down our suspects.

We have days left and this is our last chance...

Errkal was extremely quick to jump in and 'explain' his role before anyone else. Looks a little suspicious to me.

Moggy did say that he always planned for the Alpha to be passed on to another player, so I wonder if the Beta is simply that role?
When the Alpha died a new Alpha was randomly chosen, but perhaps instead of a player being re-rolled as Alpha that random choice was already made before the game had started: the Beta role.

Damn I knew I forgot something. Yes! I was about to bring this information to the group but I saw him digging a hole for himself.

His posts this evening are very suspicious.

I would like to run for mayor tomorrow to get protection. If I die after that then I have done all I can.

I am hoping I can get information from the Space Marine and we can solve this before I die myself.

BID0, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly did you tell Karl, Cora and Falsey early on?

Just my role name and a vague description of my roll.

I think it's possible Cora and Karl passed this on to the infected, however my role name and what I can do changed with one of the vials so neither match up any more.

The reason I targetted Cora was just to cover myself in case that information hadn't been passed on. I took him out within about an hour of him being infected.

No. You were in my list but every day there are 3-4 people I want to scan.

I have only been able to scan since Monday

Monday - Zellery (Three Breasted Woman - no mention of infection)
Tuesday - Corazon de Leon (infected human - probably held a lot of important information of peoples roles)
Wednesday - Mini E (infected Space Marine)
Thursday - Kezzer (infected human)
Friday - Errkal (Scanner Error)

Ooft, Bido out of nowhere.

Obviously bido has to be voted in as tomorrow's mayor. And errkal should be the first to get the lynch. Very suspect role.

If I can get protection tomorrow that means I can scan one more person before I die.

And hopefully we can all get some information from people that want to stay anonymous.

Errkal is hugely suspicious. He rallied against option 2, which was clearly our best shot, and his general posting has something off about it.

BAKE HIM AWAY, TOYS.

Edit - having thought about it, I am inclined to believe he is almost too suspicious to actually be the Alpha or even an infected. I'm not sure what to think. Either way, he is a loose end that needs tying up.

There were 3 other scanners. I'm sure you were.

I have tried to target people I knew were infected to get them out the game or I thought weren't scanned by the others so we didn't double up.

Tomorrow I'll try and trawl through the topic and make a note of everyone who was scanned that was publicly listed :dread:

I would think that could narrow our options of the Alpha down to 50% of the remaining people.

Again if anyone has any information... you scanned someone... someone messaged you that they scanned you... anything... Please message me and I'll anonymously post it in this topic so you can't be identified. I'll black out any names mentioned to keep it impartial.
