This is all pretty suspicious, especially Errkal's declaration that he would only become the alpha if he had been infected. This contradicts Moggy's statement that the new Alpha was chosen from the general population.

How so?

If i had been infected it was pre-ordained, I wasn't and so the new alpha was picked from the general group.

I know the declaration of everything looks fishy and I would think the same if I was in other peoples shoes, but once i got the notice of being scanned I figured it was better I explained my role myself as people had asked a few times in the thread over the last few days that have the role title come out from the scanner at which point specualtion on what the role is would have taken over and I wouldn't have had the chance to explain m cause because anything said other than what the group had made up would have been seen as false and trying to save myself.

It was slightly extreme but seen as I had told a few people the fake backup story I felt it would be easier to just come clean and be open about my role and what it is and would have done.

Just to add the other side of my opening up to all my role info is that the general plan is kill anyone with a role as that way the infected can't use them, which also sort of gave me a choice of share all or just take the fact I am going to be killed because of where my name sat in a list. Which understandably I wasn't really all for

I would go with someone like Pedz, middle of the list human block, odds are the alpha and infected will be around there and at this point we need to find the alpha and while doing so keep the infected majority down. I think that area will get us the best return.

Having read back through the 'passing of the Alpha', Moggy very clearly words the event to explain that the new Alpha will have been infected completely at random.

It was at that point that the alphabetical list theory was almost completely proven to be correct, so I suspect he either deliberately worded it in a misleading way because he knew eventually someone would figure out the Beta role or he did actually change the original plan in reaction to the discovery of the alphabetical list and made a new Alpha totally at random.

In the the back of my mind theres paranoia that Bid0 is playing us. I feel like im still looking for the last piece of the jigsaw that will hit that bullseye so the rest of the dominoes fall like a house of cards. Then it would be checkmate.

But im going to vote for Bid0

Hmm, lots of questions for BID0, but I'll start with one that's been bothering me for a few days:

Why kill mini e? I feel my plan was sound. In it, it didn't matter if he was infected if he did what we wanted. Sure, if he disobeyed then kill him, but we could have possibly got some use out him.

Why?

As they wake up on Mars for another day there appears to be confusion and division amongst the players. Will they manage to succeed today or are they a long way from safety?

38 players remain, 10 of which are infected.

Oh and....

I am out for lunch today and so might be late confirming the leader. You should still vote and have the results clearly shown in the thread by 2pm. Sorry for the Phoenix Wright image but I really wanted to post one. ;)

Errkal - Lynch Pedz (0)

Aiming for an infected in the human block to get us back on track of actually finding the alpha and keeping infected numbers down so we can actually stand a chance of winning the game.

This still seems suspicious and it could be an infected ploy to bring out the marine but I think getting rid of the beta is probably the best way to go.

Have to agree that we should lynch errkal I know he came clean but he could have been desperate, to explain his side of the story before Bid0, just don't think it risking that the role is defunct.
Also really think Joer should be checked out too, he has around 32 posts in the 4 days before iron hide dies then goes a lot quieter in the next 6 days. Given that Tomous had a similar drop in posts an turned out to be infected think it could be something to look maybe.

Once again, randomly chosen alpha.

Not saying the alpha won't be in that section but it's equally as likely they're anywhere else.

I know it's just my word, but I am still human. A scan on me is a waste of a scan at the moment. I've explained to mchigje or whatever the feck he's called why I've posted less. I'm on my phone so can't copy and paste the message I sent him, but if he wants to and you can decide if you believe me.

I only kill those infected, hence the only person I haven't killed this week while checking people has been Zellery. He was free from the virus as of Monday.

We were at a stage where our numbers where being hit hard, with an infected Marine (Irene) and the Alpha infecting 2 people each night.

I couldn't afford for them to get a second infected Marine. I chose to scan him that night, if he was clean then I would have a confirmed Human Space Marine to corroborate what I had heard behind the scenes and maybe find a way to work with them. If he was targetted by the Alpha that night (which he was) then I could take him out before he did any damage.

But Errkal was a randomly chosen Beta Alpha before the game began. Everyone was randomly chosen in this game before it started. What Moggy says does not contradict what Errkal is telling as half truths.

No I know, my point is that some previous special role could have been usurped by the alpha role on day 4. Errkal keeps going on about focussing solely on the human players yet everyone still alive is as likely as one another to be the alpha. Theoretically.

Half of me says that Errkal would have to be mad to willingly reveal he was the alpha's designated successor, albeit having just been scanned and probably fearing that the marine would immediately out him. The other half says that I can't see why Moggy would make anyone besides the designated successor the new alpha, and that we have no better leads to go on, so I guess I'll back Bid0 in chucking Errkal out the airlock.
