We've had space marines kill human infected before, haven't we?

@mcjihge2

Yes but even if he scans the alpha and he comes back human - we could elect the alpha as mayor and they'd have to kill one of their own to avoid dying themselves (see the catch on option 2 - if no infected dies then the mayor dies too).

I dont think thats right. Did moggy change the wording, so that that (false?) implication cannot be derived.

40 players remain, 30 of which are not infected.

Yeah, while it goes against my credibility, I think you're right.

Moggy, yesterday before infections wrote:42 players remain, of which 33 are human.

Moggy, today wrote:40 players remain, 30 of which are not infected.

Since we offed Albear and Kezzer yesterday, presumably this means theres only 1 infected human left and the rest are specials?

EDIT - There could be two infected humans I guess, if Sykes is telling the truth and is uninfected android. Actually I'm looking at it completely the wrong way aren't I :slol:

I think that would only slightly delay the infected win, it would also mean that we're not "spreading the net" as wide as we could?

I think targeting known special roles reduces our chances of inadvertently lynching our own space marine or vigi, I was more thinking we could buy them time to do their thing behind the scenes. But maybe that's not an optimal play.

But also reduces the chances of hitting the alpha. The alpha was assinged when Ironhide died. If it was assined to an exisiting role their play would change as their role was now different. We should be focusing on the human list to try and find the alpha not clearing all the specials giving the alpha time to build up infected in the human list and areas we aren't looking.

We only win by killing the alpha, if we fanny about with killing specials we waste time and give the alpha a better chance of getting a majority which is all he needs to win.

OK - if we do decide to roll with Option 2 thought, I definitely think Sats/abcd/Errkal should be chucked out the airlock tomorrow night though.

With this is mind, I think we should go after one special each night, as a likely infected as insurance, and a human who's an alpha suspect.

I still dont see the point, they can't be gaining anything from the infected if they have them, only the marines gave them a killing ability, nothing else is making their life better each night, other than the vials we opened.

I can't see why they would infect all the specials just because they are special, they would be an obvious target for the humans to hit to control infected numbers, it would make more sense to spatter infected amongst the human list as thats harder to hit and less obvious.

We all knew what specials were where because of the list, they would target the ones they can use like the marines, but what would be point of getting the others.

I guess making us humans not have any specials to use to our advantage would be of benefit to them.

OK Ive decided Im going for Option 2 and Cuttooth to be thrown from the airlock.

Is the option 2 strategy to lynch stronly suspected special + alpha guess?

Good luck to whoever is Mayor tomorrow. Its a tricky task at this stage of the game.

The alpha has seemed to be infecting previous mayors - is that right PPM and TNAG? I hope i dont get infected. :dread:

I'm assuming the alpha would have starting targeting specials as soon as the list was theorised, meaning they wouldn't know at the time what the special roles would be or if they would be useful to him, just that it would be a better strategy to go for a potential useful special than a human.

Problem is, even if the alpha doesn't infect you, THERE'S NO strawberry floating WAY TO PROVE IT.

I look forward to greeting you to no man's land tomorrow when your mayorship is over.

If it were a matter of the alpha wins by killing all humans like in a AYAW game then yes that would make sense, in this they just need a majority which means the alpha would need to get as many people as they could in the quietest way and in the way that they are unlikely to be killed off diminishing the majority, and specials would not be the way to do that. You would take the specials like marines and that is usable but others are just obvious and would be easily targeted and killed off making them useless to building that majority.

Yes, but the even if a special isn't useful for the alpha, it could be useful to us, meaning its in the alphas best interest to take them. Either way they add one infection, but this way it's taking away our teeth.

GREETINGS EARTH MORTALS….GLORIOUS MECHAPUTIN CRUSH FOOLISH MORTALS WHO OPPOSE…SUBJECT IRENE DEMOVA STATUS…..INFECTED SPACE MARINE…

Foolish mortals send SPACE MARINE to MechaPutin...MechaPutin kill SPACE MARINE before arrival…hahaha…infection status positive….EARTHMEN pass test…

MORTALS…MECHAPUTIN PLEASED WITH RESULT OF SACRIFICE…SPACE MARINE SCANNER USEFUL…INFECTION STUDY USEFUL…UK EARTHMEN TO BE REWARDED FOR SERVICE TO GLORIOUS MECHAPUTIN….MECHAPUTIN KEEP OUTSIDE BODIES FOR STUDY….NEED MORE BODIES…EARTHMEN LEADER CAN CHOOSE REWARD…

It appears that MechaPutin is pleased with the decision to send Irene to him for study. Good news! The bad news is he rewards on one hand and takes away with the other. He wants more bodies to study and so wants you to throw more people outside. He has therefore offered you the following rewards and wants you to decide today.

Option One: Accept nothing. Things will stay the same.

Option Two: One extra execution per night. However there is a clause with this option, at least one of the executed must be infected, if you kill two uninfected then the leader will also die.

Option Three: Accept MechaPutin as your permanent leader. He will then kill you all and take over the universe. You will lose the game and MechaPutin will destroy all life, but he promises to make it a quick death.

The decision must be made by the leader along with tonight’s execution (only one kill tonight no matter what the decision) and sent to me via PM by 6pm. The leader may ask for your opinion on which option to choose, but the final decision rests with him.

The decision made by the leader will be announced just after the execution tonight. If the leader chooses option three then Karl will permaban him.

Today you have elected mcjihge2 as leader, he has until 6pm to make his decisions.
