It will have revealed to them my role name "the beta"

I am uninfected, my roll is that were I infected at the time of the death of the original alpha I would have taken on the role, I was however not infected and so did not take on the role. I have told a couple of people my role name was "backup" this was a lie because if I had said beta I would have been out the air lock in a heart beat.

Anyway, all is out now and there we go.

I was told was messaged by moggy to tell me.

I assume part of the the power that would have made me alpha stops the thread being told, and means I get told and the scanner gets my role name sent to them.

Damn it, missed all the action! Definitely would have voted for option 2, least then we would've had a slight chance of striking lucky.

Don't know why errkal's so adamant the alpha was definitely previously a human, it was mentioned at the time that the role could have passed to anyone.

This is true.
The role is true, and you're covering for someone else.
It's all false.

Honestly, I was thinking Sykes' real role was almost exactly this. I don't know what to think right now.

because a day or so ago that was current thinking and at least to me that makes sense as a theory.

In about an hour. I have some things to do.

If the arnie role knows someone trustworthy can we get someone to verify this? The beta sounds like some sort of scum bag role we need to get out the airlock asap.

Hence why I have avoided publishing my role name until now as it doesn't sound good. It would be fitting had I been infected but I wasn't so it is a defunct role that sound way worse than it is

Are you saying that Moggy built in a second contingency should the alpha be killed early? As well as the one has already used?

I'm saying that is my role, I assume he thought it would take longer for Alpha 1 to die and I would be infected by then, but seen as it ended pretty sharpish and I wasn't infected he made a plan B

Not my true role now, they knew the backup role name I made up. When anyone has asked me over the course of the game I have said I was a role called Backup, it seemed safer than saying i was the Beta and had I need infected when Ironhide died I would have become the alpha but didn't because I remained clean.

You yourself got one earlier today when you asked me.

I always assumed i would show human on scanning as the alpha thing had passed and so yeah, I didn't know the role would still be reported on a scan or I wouldn't have come up with the story.

I did think it was strange that you gave me such an honest answer, because when i read "back up", I read it as "back up alpha". You told me that when a particular special event happened you would be the back up, I read that as if the alpha was killed you'd become the new alpha. You also said that you would scan as human, I read that as alpha.

Why did you tell me all this?

I forgot that cora and karl knew - But if they knew then the infected knew. And I would say that the infected would have turned you. So why are you not number 1 candidate to be lynched tomorrow?
