So the infected doesn't find out they are infected?

The game seems very shallow right now, but I imagine its the twists that really shakes things up.

Interesting how the Mayor just kills.

But this is the thing,

Alpha infects actives - humans should kill actives.

Is the logical thing to do - to kill the actives?

Theres got to be more to this.

From what I can gather if you are infected by the alpha you will be told so the infected know they are infected but won't know who other infected are.

I may be wrong though.

The infected (and the Alpha) are told that they are infected but the newly infected are not told who the Alpha is.

The Alpha can tell them who he is but that's up to him and up to the infected if they believe him.

But do the infected get told who the other infected are?

If you've got Mafia Cop roles (detective/seer roles) then usually they'll be able to see the roles of humans. That depends if there's even a cop role in the game. It's certainly an interesting thing to consider later down the track. For example if there is a seer and they confirm themselves, if infected they could certainly be a powerful role for the infected considering we don't know who gets infected right?

I wouldn't even call this an 'AYA?' game. Everything we know at this point is probably garbage.

Or maybe we should all be hyper-suspicious of each other right from the get-go.

It is a Mafia game, it's just rather than having a Mafia has the main antagonists you've got a cult leader who infects people. It's most certainly an interesting idea and it'll most likely turn out to be very fun.

Just catching up, like the twists. Interested to see how the special powers could influence things (and whether someone retains them if they become infected).

Not by me. The Alpha and other infected can tell them if they want to.

It's not a AYA? game. It's AYI.

Almost eternally as always, we will agree to disagree. At this point, this game has much, much more in common with other hidden role games over a Mafia/Werewolf game. Which makes it all the more intriguing.

If a Werewolf game doesn't haven't have werewolves in it, then it probably isn't a ...oh wait a sec...

This looks confusing but also fun, I'm just worried that the time zone difference will mean that the thread will move very fast while I'm asleep.

Having cult as the main enemy rather than as a third party seems like it could pan out as an interesting game, let's go kill some alien parasites chaps

Theres got to be more to this.

I think that we should start by killing inactives, as always, just so that we have a chance of winning and the game not being an Alpha running wild over a bunch of inactives. If we don't get a lead as to who may be infected once the inactives thin out, so that we can stop them overpowering us humans, we should look at suspicious activity to work out who might be trying to bump of actives that could help us win.

I'm here and ready to win Day 1 when we luck out and manage to lynch the Alpha and put all Moggy's hard planning to waste.

I'm panicking pretty similarly to a headless chicken. I imagine I'll only get worse as I get more confused. Feel free to laugh behind my back. And infront of my face.
