Pretty meh season but apparently Season 2 is going to be a major reboot. Seems like the Hawks are gone going by the finale & people seem excited by Justice Society of America.

Hawks were the worst part of the show and they based the entire main plot around them. JSA is vastly more interesting though I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea for Hourman's costume to have literally no colour in it.

Is JSA just a slightly renamed Justice League in the same way the League of Assassins is a renamed League of Shadows?

I'm guessing the four way arrow/flash/legends/supergirl crossover will be about the JSA

In the comics at least the JSA is basically the JLA of Earth 2 and consists of the Golden age depictions of characters like The Flash,Green Lantern etc.

I bet you regret asking now

I regret nothing although the earth 2 stuff is a bit confusing for a relative DC layman like myself, especially given how the CWs DC shows seem to mix and match from various source materials

So glad that the bland, lame Hawk people are gone. The show's weakest element, easily.

Hawkman's a founding member of the JSA so I wouldn't be surprised to see him in season 2.

Ive started watching this after finishing flash and arrow. Im only 2 episodes in. Needs more Sara Lance and Snart.

The Dr Stein bloke is tedious, Brandon Routh is mr zero charisma, the bird people are boring, and Rory is rubbish Dr Who swarf.

Does this get better?

‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Lands Its New Vixen: Maisie Richardson-Sellers To Play Animal-Powered Heroine On CW Show

Image

Following the scheduling conflict-caused departure of the actress who portrayed the character in the fourth season of Arrow, the CW has tapped Maisie Richardson-Sellers to play DC Comics heroine Vixen on Arrow‘s sister series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Richardson-Sellers will succeed Megalyn Echikunwoke, joining Legends as a series regular and newest crewmember of the Waverider when the show returns October 13 at 8 PM on the CW.

Rather than a straight recasting of the role, Legends of Tomorrow is taking advantage of the show’s time travel premise, bringing on Richardson-Sellers as a different incarnation of Vixen from an earlier point in time.

2x01- Good first episode with a great ending. Thawne and Dahrk are two threatening antagonists which this show needs.

Looks like this whole season is going to be resolving Barry's mess with Flashpoint after he let Thawne escape.

2x02- Another good episode. Every Arrowverse show was good this week actually.

I would have liked more development from the JSA. Obsidian and Dr Midnite in particular were short-changed but there's always the rest of the season for that. Sara becoming leader makes sense and is a good move as she's now the best character on the show without Cold.

2x03- "We don't have time for this!"

You're in a time machine. You have all the time. There's no rush whatsoever.

Satisfying conclusion to the crossover - while the focus was on the Legends it was also the most ensemble piece of the 3-parter.

I can see why some Legends fans might be pissed off the focus (especially at the end - other than Sara/Oli) was on characters.

For a TV show very good effects - and the fights were quite good considering they were against CGI monsters - hard to make a sense of weight when you're impacting nothing.

They attempted something really ambitious this week and they pulled it off with gusto.

It's gonna be odd though "Oli I know you just fought off a worldwide Alien invasion, but some punks are robbing a cornershop downtown" "On it!"

2x07- Barry is responsible for the invasion. Of course he is.

It was a fun crossover but I would have preferred if the primary antagonist had been someone set up on the show before. I can't see the dominators appearing again whereas some kind of Legion of Doom with Thawne, Dahrk and Barrowman would have been building on prior continuity.

She looks like my cousin. Poor Brandon Routh.
