I had a real one the first year I got a place with the missus, it was fine as we had wood floors. We now have carpet so real ones are just a faff.
We went and got a god fake tree (£150) and it looks great, doesn't look cheap and nasty and has last 5 years and still looks new. So much better than buying one each year.
