As Amazon US announce service that lets delivery drivers into your home, would you?

Fed up talking videogames? Why?

If this were available in your country, would you use it?

Can't say I feel any desire to allow strangers into my home when I'm not around.

Let complete strangers into my house? Sure, what could possibly go wrong?

Like how the pictures show delivery women when the reality is fat, sweaty blokes waiting, hidden in your house.

With the state of the drivers they contract it to where I live? strawberry float no.

Have to say I’m amazed they’d even consider rolling this out in America, what with their propensity for being startled into shooting up the place.

I give it 2 hours before the first young black delivery man gets shot.

I would consider getting some kind of lock box outside the house for them to use. Presumably the lock doesn't have to fitted to the front door. My girlfriend has a shed in her front garden. That would seem like a perfect place to put that kind of lock.

Or even better, have the door seem to be normal, the delivery person walks in and the door slams shut behind them. A large timer appears on the wall and they have to solve a series of puzzles to get the code to exit the house before they are gassed to death.

And if they manage to solve the puzzles then their reward is a good bumming*?

*I'm just mentioning bumming to help the forum stats.

With a slight change, this could work. Instead of entering your home, they knock on the door. If you are out, they come back another time when you are in.

They have these lock boxes for deliveries already, you can put things in no problem but you need a key to get stuff out. Why not just make a smart one, where it opens for whoever has your delivery and noone else. Better than giving a delivery driver access to your house.

Stick a webcam in there and you've got yourself a massively popular TV show. I'd watch it.
