Captain Kinopio's posting in this thread? Uh-oh, England must be having a stinker. And yep, sure enough...

Surely this series is the end of YJB's test career?

Hopefully this innings reminds Joe of how he needs to bat instead of aping his Bazball comrades.

Difficult to determine without seeing both sides bat but that feels like England's day overall. Good support from Foakes and Robinson and it's great to see Joe bring his batting to the party.

Given England went from 112-5 to 302-7 by the close of play, you'd say India will be disappointed not to have fully capitalised.

Talk about the pitch being a tricky bugger too.

Another good day. Need to make sure they don’t squeeze 50-100 runs out of their last few wickets.

Bashir's numbers today are crazy given his experience. 30+ overs in a spell, 4 wickets at less than 3 an over. He could really be something special in the years to come.

Or England could break him. Fingers crossed, but let's face it: this is him living his best life. In a spinning country, with a great captain of spin who's also a great man-manager, and a great keeper too. All you need is Stokes replaced with Root and Bash is struggling much more.

Take nothing away from the lad though, that was a great show today!

Playing into a bit of trouble. I think we're a good 100 runs short.

I'd be confident with a lead of 250, 200 less so but it's supposedly not an easy place to chase. Not giving the bowlers enough rest though.

Out first ball after tea.

Too many of our batters have made one good score this series and not a lot else. Right now, Zak Crawley is coming out of this tour with the most credit in the bank as he's been making consistent runs.
