What an absolutely glorious innings and he isn't done yet. Tomorrow he could very well do what he should have done against Pakistan and score a triple ton. Shouts to Mo and Stokes who played good supporting hands.

Mooen took about 17 balls just to score his first run. That's completely out of character but so impressive.

Amla is key, if we get him early then we'll win.

That Broad ball looked out to me... I think they should've reviewed that.

Genuine edit: Damn I'm having a good game. Should be an umpire.

Hopefully the quicks can hang around and keep Mo company. He's looked really at home this innings.

Lots of wickets falling in pairs then, shame Moeen couldn't get to 100

Just remember, Broad almost always takes wickets in clumps. Fingers crossed.

Or not.

Hashim Amla is definitely England's bogey batsman.

Why is Dawson getting chucked the ball before Stokes?

Liam Dawson, the bowler that was selected for his batting and ability to tie an end up, has scored 0 with the bat and conceded 29 runs from 4 overs. Another selection that has (so far) utterly backfired.

Good to see Amla's gone, now to get Elgar. Don't forget that he carried his bat against us when we last toured SA. Very resolute.

You know better than to judge a situation by that small a sample size Drummy! He's a good player and is always going to be more useful in the fourth innings of a game. He was also slightly unlucky with the decision when he batted.

Twenty five years ago you would never have expected to see two black South Africans batting together in an international match...

Indeed. It doesn't really matter tbh because Woakes will be back in next test provided he's recovered from his side strain.

I actually felt Moeen looked a far better and more dangerous spinner today than Dawson.
