To be fair, looking at the games, it's likely that they'd have lost to NZ and Eng anyway but beaten Bangladesh so would've been eliminated either way. They will be hating the weather though :lol:

It is an absolutely ridiculous length.

I guess it needs to be so long if they're singing someone's full name.

This has been a glorious tournament so far. Every single one of our players has fired except for Roy and at present we can afford to carry him. I just hope he can get some runs in the semi if he's picked.

The conversation on TMS this morning was suggesting that Bairstow will be in for the semi.

Pakistan it is, then. Albeit a slightly different and much improved team, though we should be able to turn them over. Wouldn't mind seeing Hales get another century.

It seems to be all or nothing with Pakistan, if we can put their bowling to the sword then we'll be fine.

England batting with Bairstow opening with Hales. Amir misses out for Pakistan with a late injury, he'll be a miss as he's been bowling excellently.

Bairstow lucky to bat that long, several close calls in his innings. We're not batting particularly well by the sounds of things.

Not really. Pakistan have had a few chances to get him out, that was number 4 I think.

Yeah, that was a bit streaky by Bairstow but they all count I guess. It'll be interesting to see how capable this Pakistani team are of chasing down a target. They've not hit a big score yet in the tournament whereas England have consistently scored over 300.

This isn't looking great at the moment, on course for about 270, don't know what that score's like on this pitch. Need Stokes and Buttler to quickly consolidate and push on

The talk on TMS is that its not an easy pitch to score on, the ball isn't coming on to the bat with any pace. Woakes was suggesting that 260-270 was a total you could defend.
