England were absolute beasts in this test match. Just chewed em up and spat them out.

Dhoni's one of the only Indians to walk away from the last few matches with a shred of credibility

And Ishant's pulled up already in his first over

Today's big question:

Can England get any less gooseberry fool at playing spin in ODI's?

Not sure they'll be batting long enough to face the spinners. :(

I was thinking the same thing but didn't want four posts in a row in the thread

If there was ever a time for a vintage Eoin Morgan one day innings...

Surely now Joe Root must be considered as our best overall batsman at present? Only 23 as well, class.

22 tests with an average a shade under 51 and an ODI average in the mid-30s. The latter could probably do with being higher, mind, but his recent form is nothing short of great.

All things considered in ODI cricket, he's doing exceptionally well. Both himself and Morgan are consistently having to try and rebuild the team innings at the start of their time at the crease and Root is handling the change in approach far better than Morgan is.

Rohit currently on 257 off 168 balls in an ODI against Sri Lanka with one over left. I've been watching since he was on 150-odd and it's absolutely astonishing. He's just put on 100 partnership with Robin Uthappa and Uthappa contributed 12 of them  Highest individual ODI score ever and India are 396-4 with an over to go. Insane.

Edit: Oh and he was dropped on 4  Talk about a costly mistake

Spectator takes amazing catch in New Zealand

This was yesterday but I've just seen it. Great catch. Love the reaction of the commentators too.

Did anyone see the highlights of the India/SL game Sky Sports? They changed its name in the guide. In the morning it was IND v SL ODI and then some time after Rohit went bananas it read something like Rohit breaks world record  They should do that with everything.
