Nice to see the ODI squad have picked up where they left off. :fp: A bowling attack of Woakes, Gurney, Tredwell and Stokes is hardly going to strike fear into the hearts of opposition batsmen.

Helluva knock from Moeen, even if it does turn out to be a losing cause. We do bat deep with this lineup and are up with the run-rate. Needs Moeen to get a 150 really and for Bopara/Stokes to fire. Slightly optimistic to still fancy the win  As long as Moeen is in, the team have a chance though.

Noble gesture by the Pakistan Cricket Board and New Zealand Cricket to call today a rest day and continue the test match from tomorrow onwards.

My thoughts go out to Phillip Hughes' family and friends, and more importantly to Sean Abbott. I can't even begin to imagine what that poor guy must be going through.

Did the ball strike between grill and peak or on the helmet propper?

Underneath the helmet, behind the grill. Right behind/under his ear.

Such a freak accident. Phil Hughes' actual cause of death which was a compressed artery that split which is so rare there only like 100 documented cases and only one other case involving a cricket ball. I hope someone lets Sean Abbott know that it was a complete accident.

Totally an accident, he totally didn't mean to throw a ball at his face.

I was thinking about this on my way home this morning. As you say, I can't imagine what Sean Abbott is going through today. I hope the Australian cricket community rallies around him now.

RIP.

God, you're an embarrassment.

I feel very sorry for Sean Abbott, almost as much as for Phil Hughes's family. Can't imagine what he's going through right now.
