Dropping Rashid seems an odd choice. You would expect England to win comfortably even with 2 spinners and surely it would have been better to keep the side together.

First wicket get, which is good as Bangladesh were beginning to smack it round a bit. Concerning about Woakes though

Yeah losing Woakes, our best bowler, is really unlucky. Just hope this side strain isn't too bad.

Looks like BD are going to sail past 300 at this rate.

This is going to be a much tighter match than England would have expected/hoped. I can see us having to chase 320-330 at this rate.

Well, our usual tournament play has turned up. Seem to have lost our heads a bit as well

I'll take that all day. Plunkett bowled very well at the end.

Given how badly Ball bowled at times yesterday then this isn't good at all. I'd be getting Rashid in for Ball and playing Willey for the rest of the tournament.

This is just so extremely frustrating.

If you’d asked me who were the 3 most important players in our squad before the tournament I would have probably placed Woakes at #2. The reason is that our bowling attack is quite weak in comparison to the other major contenders and Woakes is the only one that is developing into a world class bowler in all formats. He’s consistently the tightest bowler and usually amongst the wickets. Without him our attack is largely fodder.

With regard to who to bring in, I think that for the rest of the tournament they will just play Rashid and Ball. Ball only played yesterday because BD prefer to play spin over pace (though personally I would not have made that change). Willey is great in the T20Is because, regardless of whether it’s swinging or not, batsmen only have 4 overs to size him up. He needs the swing to be effective, risking 10 overs of Willey with no swing is a very dangerous prospect for England. Likewise I don’t want Finn called up. He’s really gone backwards since he decimated the Aussies that time.

I would call up Roland Jones or Chris Jordan, though they don’t appear to think Jordan has the consistency for the 50 over matches.

If Plunkett, Wood and Rashid bowl 30 overs then you're looking at 20 overs from Moeen, Root, Stokes and Willey. I don't think you'd need Willey to bowl 10.

I suppose so. I personally like the left arm seam he adds to the team but I guess the selectors don't.
