Oh FFS.

Why every time we have our foot on the opposition's throat do we step off and let them back into the match?

India are going to be strawberry floating chuffed to bits with today. It's not good enough.

Edit: WTF Cook, that pitched outside leg, why are you following it? Just protect your stumps as you can't be out LBW. Just FFFFS.

I rest my case. We'll end up leaving them a run chase of about 250 and they'll knock if off with wickets to spare. We're not ruthless enough in the field, England used to be a fantastic fielding side but in the last couple of years they've really let their skills slip.

Yeah they were reading stats out throughout the day on TMS. Most dropped catches of a Test nation, worst average for bowling against a tenth wicket partnership. We also seem to miss or fumble every run out chance we get whereas others take them

Ashwin will decide how much play you'll be seeing tomorrow, if any.

England in recent history have been horrible in their second innings, I'd be totally unsurprised if they were bowled out for <150 today.

Seems like I was incredibly overly optimistic. Well played England. :fp:

strawberry float every single one of this lot.

I am so, so, so strawberry floating tired of the simple yet stupid boneheaded mistakes that they make. A small list from this match alone:

- Which fielding position are you likely to take the most wickets? That's correct, in the slips. The same place you are most likely to get Kohli out. Therefore you want your best catchers in the slips, ideally people that are mainstays on the team to avoid miscommunication. Cook has dropped numerous easy catches in the last couple of years, get him out of there. Malan and Jennings haven't cemented their places in the side, get them out. Have Buttler at first slip, Root at second (where Cook always had him) and Stokes at third.

- After Jimmy's initial spell, almost every ball he bowled died just before reaching the slips. strawberry floating come in a couple of places then so you actually have a chance of taking the edges! They eventually caught into this but not before they'd put Kohli down twice and dropped Pandya once.

- Stop giving wickets away by trying to score of deliveries that should be defended. Also, stop worrying about "counter punching", just strawberry floating learn how and when to defend/leave.

The ECB should dock the lot of them their match fee.

My frustration comes from the fact that a monkey could understand all of these things but this lot are too thick to grasp it. It's not cricket nous, it's just common sense.

One thing that would really improve it all would be if the County Championship wasn’t held in flippin’ April and September...

WHY

the F*CK

would you not give the all-rounder who swung the ball more than your opening pair, took more wickets than your opening pair, and just scored 63 off 65, the new ball?

Okay Drumstick: NOW I’m pissed off.

Just seen Root's dismissal from today. Leg slip and short leg in place... And Root thinks it's a good idea to try and thread the ball through them off a bowler as clever as Ashwin. Again, common sense and a distinct lack of it.

Funnier though was Bairstow came in and tried to do the exact same thing first ball.
