40 from 48 for Jason Roy who had a horrendous Big Bash, 52 from 35 for Hales, 81* from 76 for Morgan, 28 from 26 for Buttler. No wickets for Woakes, Wood or Curran.

I most of our batting innings, it's difficult to say these give any indication of how the ODIs will go given the massive difference in the bowling attack today and what is to come, but they looked good overall. I'd imagine Root comes in for Billings, bats at 3, Morgan at 4, Hales at 5, Buttler 6.

Online stream? or was this aired somewhere on the quiet?

I think we need to get Hales back at opening. Bairstow only came in because of Roy's poor form/Hales ban.

Yeah but Bairstow went and scores two centuries when he came in. Can't drop him.

I don't agree. JB deserves a good long run in the team opening in the innings, he waited a long time to get his opportunity and grasped it firmly with both hands. If anyone should make way (or bat at 5) it should be Roy, as he only got back into the team due to Hales being detained by the constabulary.

Good to see that Livingstone has been called up to the test squad. Definitely start him in NZ.

Immense performances by Root and Roy with the bat.

Wood and Mo were very good with the ball, especially Mo considering he had an absolute nightmare of biblical proportions in the Tests.

Root is so crucial to this ODI team. He just ticks along at a SR of 85 or so, rotating the strike easily so the blasters around him can score quickly. His ODI average is about to overtake his test average.

West Indies U19s are a thoroughly unlikeable set of blokes. After the mankad controversy at the previous world cup, they've done it again - but worse.

Technically the laws of the game - but the spirit of the game is dead.

I'm more pissed off (understatement) about how the wicketkeeper appeals and then proceeds to act as though it's nothing to do with him to the victim. Honestly, I'd take a bat to the banana splits teeth.

Archer is a serious talent. Anyone see the most ridiculous nonchalant c&b he took a few days ago?
