Live stream of the England warm-up game against a NZ XI - no commentary or sound though. Cook and Stoneman batting.

First delivery I tune in for sees Cook edge behind.

I wonder, if Stokes is unfit to bowl, does that mean Vince will be dropped to make way for another bowler (assuming they play Stokes as a batsman)?

Edit: 18-6!

Edit edit: 23-7. I got up at 1am for this :slol:

Another edit: 23-8. I'm imagining the look on you guys' faces when you wake up to see this scorecard :slol:

Another one... 27-9. the GRcade mockers isn't even necessary here. Incredible.

Not really sure what can be said about that. Some batsmen got good deliveries, some played around regulation balls, plenty got stuck in the crease.

I'm not actually that displeased as hopefully it might force the ECB to implement changes.

58 all out? That's not too bad for a Twenty20 game that due to rain delays was restricted to 7 overs each....

....wait this is a test match?

:slol:

You complain when England are doing relatively well, I can't begin to imagine how you're coping with this!

When did we do well in a test recently? I must have missed that period! But the test team been on a downward slope for a long time. Not sure what wrong with the setup but it doesn’t look like it going to get resolved any time soon.

Did for the first day but weather forecast was poor yesterday and I had a 3am-10pm day so felt I should probably sleep. Will tune in the next couple of nights after my fiancé has gone to sleep.

Yeah, I didn't bother either. My infant daughter got me up at about 2am so I saw Williamson got his century before getting out but I wasn't waiting around to see if play resumed.

Interestingly, Dean Elgar has become only the second batsman to carry his bat 3 times in test history.

Cameron Bancroft caught by camera ball tampering with a wee yellow, square... thing. (Coincidentally the ball was swinging at the time.) Camera catches him taking it out of his pocket and shoving it in his pants. The on field umpires come to ask him what he was up to and he produces his sunglasses baggie  Big screens in the stadium proceeds to show what he'd actually been up to multiple times but umpires take no action.

He's admitted to it and Steve Smith knew of the plan in advance  Cheating tickets should be banned from test cricket for a very long time. I'm sure the ICC will do grand amounts of strawberry float all about it.

Smith has said this is the first time they've done this.

He also denied repeatedly looking to the team balcony for guidance on reviews in the recent series against India, despite Virat Kohli forewarning the umpires the morning of the day that situation blew up, that it had been going on throughout the series. Smith used the "this is the first time this has happened" excuse on that occasion too, and Kohli called bullshit. This pretty much proves Kohli was being truthful and it's just the first time they've been caught at it.
