Abbas is putting to the sword the idea that only the fastest pacers succeed in the subcontinent, one Aussie at a time. #PorterforSriLanka

He is going to annihilate Div 2 next year.

Meanwhile (again) Cricinfo commentary is suggesting that Morgan should Captain the Test team.

Argle.

There have been worse ideas but I don't agree with it.

Anyone giving The Cricket Social a go?

Kind of want to see Aus make a go of the 4th innings... but not too much.

Yeah, not sure if it works or not. I mean, it's essentially TMS on a rain break, which should be a good thing. Works for an ODI, not sure whether they could carry it off for a whole test match.

Jonathan Agnew said ‘sex’ live on air. Therefore it is obviously tremendous.

I alternated between it and Guerilla Cricket when the match was still on. GC was better, but it’s early days. From what I’ve read Simon Hughes was mediocre though.

This is going to make England’s inevitable failures in Sri Lanka all the more excruciating.

Been watching this since it started. Root and Morgan could easily have cruised to centuries and it's a bit disappointing to slide from 140/2 to 220-6. Buttler is still there with Woakes so hopefully they can get us to 280 or so, pitch is slow though which won't help.

That Woakes DRS decision was absolutely awful. Ball tracking is way off. The ball hit his toe on the full (clearly going down leg) and DRS has the ball pitching and spinning back into leg stump. Atrocious.

Yeah I thought that. The ball was pitching off into the opposite direction (i.e. away from the stumps).

Should caught the second one with his box as well.

Mind you, Lyon night then not have got 4 off 6 balls. Absolute scenes.

Some irresponsible Pakistani batting aside; I do think Lyon will be a force to be reckoned with next summer.
