Big thanks to all you guys! You all said what I knew but needed to hear.
I was going to go Aaron's way because there were customers but by the time I got to the bar with my empty cup and card I just asked her.

She said yes!! I gave her my number and told her to give me a ring/text after work.
I'll keep you updated.

That is happening to me, I'm 18 on Tuesday and still don't have a bird :fp:

Eighthours, I relate to what you said on so many levels, I allways had girlfriends, but very rarley were they the exact one I wanted, it was allways second best or something like that.

And as for being 18 and not having a bird, don't worry about it, you'll realise how much you love just spending time with 'the lads' or flirting with other women, or even just doing things in your own home by yourself, having a partner is like a ball & chain a lot of the time.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Tell her the whole forum is rooting for you. She'll love it.

It's annoying being 18 and still a virgin, especially when your mates are getting some. One of mine is having threesomes, the lucky banana split.

I never felt like that :? Having a partner was the best thing that happened to me, I always got wierded out by people who seem to hate the person they were with.

How long have you been together?

And it's not hate, it's just.. I need space, and time to fool around with my mates, there's only so much cuddling and 'i love you too' I can handle before I just wanna go do something else.

About 2 and a half years. It was a LDR, so we each had our own space. That may have helped.

Why does the man always have to ask out the woman?

Because women are much more content to remaining single than men.

You might have been better off exchanging numbers - girls can sometimes have a thing about calling boys, even if they say they will. They do prefer to be chased/invited out at all stages. You did get her number as well, right?

Anyhoo, well done and best of luck.
