I've gone on an AC bender. I played Odyssey for the first time last year and got obsessed as its another historical era I just love. I tried Valhalla, and maybe its because it was so realistic to the UK, I hated it! Just miserable and brown! AC for me has to have a good setting and a great lead.

I loved AC1 despite the average reviews. Exploring Jerusalem was amazing back thenLoved Ezio's era, god that was a great time. Tuned out for AC3, loved AC Black Flag. Hated everything after. Even Origins, although I've gone back to it and enjoying it much more as I try and fill the Odyssey gap. I want to see the pyramids in their prime, and it's nowhere near as bad as I remember. I'm enjoying it.

But I do miss OG Assassins Creed. I loved the setting, and this one is clearly pushing that button. So for those of you that have played it, given the above, do you think I'd like it?

You should play AC: Rogue, if you haven’t already. Criminally overlooked as a “last-gen” game on release.

I'll report it when I've played and that would be Christmas time.

Seems a good place to ask, all the Ass Creed games are on sale on Steam so I was tempted to pick some up. Question, is Syndicate worth playing or is it better to go straight into Origin’s and play them from their after the revamp?

4 and Syndicate are the only AC games I care about. FWIW I thought Syndicate was excellent, had loads of fun with it

I liked Syndicate, but I loved Origins.

It's probably better to start on Origins and see from there? Play Syndicate in other times?

I like the idea of Syndicate as it’s set in London  did you play the Jack the Ripper DLC Barnsy?

Origins Gold Edition is cheaper at £15 so I might well pick that up first and see what it’s like. Not played as Ass.Creed since the first one

It's great to play in London and I think nothing will go wrong if you play it. Although, I thought Evie Frye was a good protagonist though.

Syndicate was worth the price of entry to run round a realised London during the industrial revolution listening to NPCs getting to interact with historical figures etc. I enjoyed this London more than the Watchdog one.

It really was a lot of fun. Found later AC games to be 'a bit much'.

Yeah, one of the very few games I played the DLC, though tiny complaint a figure like Jack the Ripper should really have been part of the main [non-DLC] game really, but yeah DLC and main were very good.

I too loved Syndicate and its DLC, with its cast of historical figures.

I'm currently playing this and it's great so far. I'm glad the map is so much smaller and nice to navigate round the city.

I also love how they've done it with every boss assassination scene and it is brilliant.

I'm on my way to the third assassination.

100% Platinum.

It's a great game and I'd give it 8/10.

I'm glad they went back to the original root. It was enjoyable to play for a lot less hours compared to the Origins, Odyssey or Valhalla.
