No way would I play RE7. Even if I did get PSVR.

Up to the end of World 4 (not done the boss though) and still loving this. Finding some of the levels a bit more challenging now and will definitely have to revisit some earlier levels to find the bots and chameleons I missed.

Still another world left, plus all the challenge levels. Really does feel like a pretty decent amount of content given the lower price point.

Done the first two worlds and a bunch of the Challenge levels.

The topic title isn't quite right though. Go into this expecting Mario 64 and you might be a little disappointed.

Was watching the Game Informer show yesterday and they were talking about it, a much better comparison is Super Mario 3D Land. This is for PSVR, what that was for 3DS.

I'm struggling to think of a better platformer that wasn't developed in house at Nintendo...and yes that does mean its better than any of the Rare platformers.

I played the VR Playroom demo version of this last night and it was brilliant.

Is there anyone who here who found that the virtual controller would slowly rotate to an almost unusable angle on the Playroom VR demo? And if so, has this problem moved across to this game or has it been fixed?
I have tried so many different layouts, pieces of hardware etc, and the problem with the Playroom VR demo is just as problematic for me now as it was almost 2 years ago. It's the one thing putting me off purchasing this game....

The controller rotation definitely drifts. Happens in all VR games for me. There's a very quick fix though; any fast enough movement of the controller will recalibrate the orientation. One quick snap in any direction is usually all it takes (I don't think it needs to move all that fast, but a snapping motion is very deliberate and has just become a conditioned response to me noticing that the real and virtual controllers aren't syncing up).
It is a little annoying, but I haven't found it to hamper my enjoyment of the game all that much.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know it's not just me.... Kind of. Yeah, shaking it often fixes it, but the other day when playing the demo again, I found that even doing that wasnt really sorting the issue. Psvr is great, but the only thing it seems to be able to track with any degree of competence is the headset. It's such a shame.

Absolutely loving this game, but trying my best to draw out the experience so it isn't over too quickly. Graphically I think its the best looking PSVR game yet.

The ideas of the Playroom demo have been fully realised with this game (excluding co-op!), and while at first I thought 'Astro bot' was pretty weak in terms of IP considering the quality of the game on offer, its grown on me a bit and the many small details add a lot to the experience. The use of VR as a tool for exploration is so brilliantly executed I just hope there's more of it to come.

Similarly I've been trying to not blast through the game - normally just doing a handful of levels at a time. Saying that I've just completed World 5. Still got the final boss and all challenge levels to complete, plus I'm still missing a few bots and chameleons in earlier levels that'll definitely need revisiting.

The quality of the game has certainly held up throughout and as you mentioned I still love peeking around corners or over ledges to suddenly spot some hidden coins or a bot.

Why? There's already a demo on Playroom VR.

It's a level from the full game.

Definitely one strong contender for the top 5 games of 2018.

Amazing wee game.

Worth pointing out for anyone thinking of buying it, its not massively long, 20 normal levels, 5 boss stages and 26 challenge stages.

Its well designed and I think worth the asking price, but it doesn't take long to finish even going for 100%.

I've completed the main game and gone back to collect all the bots and chameleons i missed. Still got all the challenges to play, although I have no idea how long they are compared to each level, which i found typically took about 10 minutes trying to find everything.

While I'd agree it's not the biggest game I still think there's a good amount of content, more than justifying the games price point.

Prior to the challenges I'd score it a 9 as it's easily been one of the most fun and unique games I've played in ages. Really hope a sequel is made, assuming VR maintains or indeed grows in popularity.
