Most are in sight with the odd few hidden behind brick walls you can knock through or hidden below where you need to look down. Hardest one for me was the construction level in W1 and you needed to throw a strawberry floating ball at the plane that briefly flies above you at one point.

Yeah I got that one, today.

World 1 all collectibles done. Just other four worlds to go.

The 5th world boss is the best boss ever in this game. Loving the references to Jaws.

A trophy that peoplemight miss if you want to know involves the world 4 boss

when you expose her at the end, look away and a trophy called gentleman will pop

I'm absolutely smitten with the game.

Right from the start it felt special and, having just completed level 1-3, it amazes me. I'm new to the world of VR and so the effect of being "in" the gameworld is astounding, but Astro-Bot is more than just that. It just exudes fun, it feels great and the design is lovely, both aesthetically and aurally.

I hugely enjoyed playing through the first two levels but there is a moment in level 1-3 that just had me sitting back and exclaiming "Wow!". When you see the face image on the wall and you break through it, you then send Astro up into the tunnel to rescue a bot... while avoiding the metal ball that flys towards your VR helmet at eye level and even cracks the glass if it gets you... just amazing.

There are so many nice touches that it's a thrill just to re-play the levels and admire all of them. It uses the VR effect to create numerous great touches that arise from looking down and around things, whilst feeling natural and not forced. The graphics are remarkable and I'm surprised at how well the textures hold up. The sound is well designed and genuinely funky; the tune in level 1-3 had me bopping along with the action!

I can't recall being as taken by a game for years. I've only played the first three levels but it has already made me re-think my GRcade awards votes. Tbh, I'm happy that I dived into VR just to experience this game.

Just completed world 1. This is *so* good :-) .

The sense of scale is amazing and the environments feel positively tactile; I want to reach out and touch them!

They really are, Wedgie! Watching Astro-Bot wade across a few puddles this evening was ace!

Just finished level 2-1. Man, is this going to keep getting better?!? I was firing water everywhere! :toot: .

Seriously thinking about this being my GOTY now. I hugely enjoyed the storyline and characters of Night in the Woods and I am loathe to shift that from my premier choice but this just exudes fun and innovation. The way that the environments use scale and positioning to such good effect... I can recall few games that have had such an impression on me.

Just posted in the Vr thread, but yeah, started this today and have totally fallen in love with it. It’s just so clever and fun. My favourite little thing so far has been the cows with vr headsets that look at you when you turn to look at them. It all makes you feel so involved and a part of it.

I'm limiting myself to a world per night to try and stretch this out a bit. I could easily sit and play it in a few goes I think.

Completed world 3 last night. There's been a few average levels in this one, and while I appreciate they're trying something different each level, those few just seemed the same as a few before but slightly different looking.

I actually died on the bird boss too! I hadn't taken so much as a hit on the previous ones so it was a bit of a 'shock' amirite.

The underwater level and inside the whale have been highlights of these two worlds

I finished the story mode yesterday. Really enjoyed that, and it was about the perfect length (context) because it was just starting to run out of steam towards the end. Fantastic game.

I then went through the challenges, got 2 left to do. Some are nice and tricky. This one in particular can go strawberry float itself:

Went back and finished this today to get the platinum. Great game and I hope it gets an expanded sequel.

Trying to finish this and get the platinum if I can before (hopefully) the PS5 arrives next week. It's a staggering game - the constant little cute touches are amazing. But I'm stuck on the last boss (the alien) as I can't gat past the last part - where the alien switches between the water cannon, the shurikens and the bombs for the last time. I can't seem to find a strategy for getting through this bit at all. Has anyone got any tips? None of the other bosses caused me problems.
