Like every Atari console since the 2800.
I remember reading about the Jaguar in CVG in 1994 and, despite looking naff, I thought it was really cool that a brand from the 1970s that I'd always associated with inventing videogames was going up against the likes of Sega, Nintendo and Sony.
23 years later I feel exactly the same
It's a nice idea from Atari from a sentimental, nostalgic point of view, but there's not enough room in the market as it is for dedicated home systems. Switch's existence alone highlights this. Nintendo are smart, they know peoples living rooms are dominated by Xbox and Playstation. Where would another home console, irrespective of manufacture, comfortably make it's mark?
Speaking as an avid gamer, who also games on PC, I simply can't - no scrap that - I simply don't
need another gaming system under my tele. I'm more than covered.
That said the Atari Jaguar was the first system I experienced Doom on, so special place in my heart for that "doomed" console.
