I swear bolt is afraid to run as fast as possible. He always seems to back of at the end. would liked to have seen what time he could have done then if he didn't pull back and celebrate a few metres from the line.

I knew he would win today. When u compare their 200m semis u can clearly see bolt if just easing through the last 100m whilst gatlin only let off for the last few metres.

'Bolt is the greatest'
Men's 200m final

Steve Cram
BBC athletics commentator
"Two golds for Bolt. He's too good for Gatlin. Silver for the American. Bolt won it in the first 200 metres. Out well and there was no way Gatlin was going to close that down.

"Resurrecting a performance like that from a season he has had shows Usain Bolt is the greatest."

 :fp:

Sad to see Christine lose but at least she was beaten by Allyson Felix

Clumsy strawberry float, thank goodness Bolt doesn't rely on his legs to earn a living.

This is a good discussion on the Gatlin issue, Johnson makes a good point about the whole 2 times a cheat thing.

Tbf, riding on a Segway while filming takes some skill.

Then you should probably be mindful of doing it so close to people who's living is the fitness of their bodies

EDIT: Where has this Dina Asher Smith girl come from, she's amazing. When was the last time we had a genuinely world class female sprinter?

Dina ran really well to get the British record.

Dafne Schippers though, 3rd fastest ever. :o

Schippers :datass:

3rd fastest, but 2nd fastest was by a known doper, and the fastest by a suspected doper. Great performance.

Yep, he really does seem like a nice guy and a fantastic commentator.
I hope he stays with the BBC as he clearly has a good relationship with the others on the team.

Fantastic from Farah for the umpteenth time. He just seems to be able to make the result a certainty every time no matter how far back he is. I actually thought this time he'd met his match - the commonwealth champion was clearly giving it everything - and he just strolled past. To go from three metres behind with 130 to go to winning by two seconds is just....flabberghasting. Utterly superb.

Oh Mo, absolutely awe inspiring. He's surely moved into Redgrave territory now, his name has to be up there in the pantheon of Britain's greatest athletes.

Despite what I said above, I think he needs to go a bit longer and maybe get a WR.

He's amazing but his main success so far covers just 3 years, that's not even an Olympic cycle.

4x400 on now, I like these ladies posing

"Athletics has jumped the shark"

Edit: Americans  Talk about one woman team, Alison Felix was the only one that bothered, she caught and overtook the Jamaican who started 50m ahead of her
