Sky seem desperate to keep reminding viewers, every five minutes, that gruesome images and videos of the attack are readily available online. Bottom of barrel truly scraped. Journalism is dead.

The lowest possible ebb for rolling news. She's still being allowed to rabbit on. Absolutely pathetic.

Just saw the videos of the truck hitting; and walk up the street. Horrifying.

Off on a cruise week after next and visiting Marseille, Barcelona, Rome, Pisa and a few other European cities. As silly as it sounds gooseberry fool like this does plant that seed of worry in your mind (especially as taking my 6 year old son) but I suppose that is the whole point of terrorism. I may just stay on the ship hammering the all inclusive drinks package. :?

Always been surprised that people actually watch Sky News/take it seriously. It's always seemed bottom-of-the-barrel, especially with the likes of Kay Burley - truly a cretin of the highest order.

I'm off to Milan, Italy, next month for a week. It's a worry, but what can you do? I felt worried on my last flight to Thailand, but you have to just run the odds in your head and realise the chances of being in the wrong place at the wrong time are extremely small to the point of being non-existent. We can't let them win. Just travel with situational awareness; it's all you can do.

CNN airing the truck in motion. You don't see anything but it doesn't appear to be going that fast, as you'd expect from say an out of control vehicle.

French reporting there was a cache of guns and grenades in the truck.

I don't know why anyone wants to see what happened, I'm upset just hearing about it.

Could have been a hell of a lot worse, if that is even believable, especially if Police had shot the back of the truck or he'd been prepared to blow himself up. Again, we in the UK are very lucky to be divided by sea, meaning getting weaponry into our country, while still possible, is a lot harder than Europe.

Apparently he was firing out or through the window as he was driving along, which explains the number of dead and injured.

Apparently lots of the hotels and restaurants strung along the seafront were trying to take in as many fleeing people and telling them to stay inside. People showing bravery, generosity and humanity in an unfolding and doubtless terrifying event. There is hope. I can hardly bear to imagine how many children and young people have been killed or horrifically wounded by this madman. It's unbearable.

By all accounts he also travelled through the crowd for over a mile until brought to a standstill.

We don't need Trump, but we do need some strong leaders with a plan. Because all we have now are stupid hashtags, hollow prayers that aren't worth a toss, and divisive rhetoric leading to more hatred.

How many futures will not happen, how many families unmade, how many lives unlived, loves unloved, experiences unexperienced, thoughts unthoughts, words unsaid? All because someone decided to crush out all that joy and goodness for the sake of sowing fear and hate.

It's at times like these I wish I was religious, just so there could be a hell where people like this could spend eternity.

CNN airing all the footage from social media with heavy editing (blurring, black and white) because they felt we needed to "hear and experience the audio".
